miscarriages, abortion and original sin.

murder is a relative term.

lets say burt and earnie were hunters back in the day...bronze age.
burt had the only food source for miles and miles
while earnie is desperately trying to feed his starving children...

in the eyes of your god, was earnie wrong by killing burt, who would defend his goat till death, in order to feed his children?

the thou shall not kill is thou shall not kill your fellow tribes man...
miscarriages are abortions...

God help you and those around you if you actually believe this

You brought up compassion. My compassion knows no bounds for the woman consumed by guilt and self hatred because she aborted one of her babies.
because she didn't listen to her truth...
it has nothing to do with the act.

The woman who insists on being promiscuous and then is intent on justifying to herself and others why it's o.k. to abort her child when she could've just exercised self control and kept her pants on doesn't receive a whole lot of compassion from me.
how about the couple that is on welfare

I don't think she get's much compassion from the man upstairs either. On the contrary, if one doesn't feel righteous anger over that then there's something wrong with that person.
again you should visit luke 6...which points our a tenant something you are accountable for to begin with... do not to judge others...son.

One of the biggest errors in interpreting passages commanding not to judge others is equating judging people with either rebuking or making moral judgments about behavior. Rebuking people who are in the wrong is actually a command of God as is discerning right from wrong.

here
24 “But woe to you who are rich,
for you have already received your comfort.
25 Woe to you who are well fed now,
for you will go hungry.
Woe to you who laugh now,
for you will mourn and weep.
26 Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you,
for that is how their ancestors treated the false prophets.

Love for Enemies

27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.
32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. 35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Judging Others

37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

"James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins."

again, correction is not judgment. I have not pronounced whether or not you're hellbound because I don't know such things. I do pronounce that you are in the wrong on the issue of abortion. Sometimes the most loving comments we receive are the ones steering us toward righteousness

funny you pick james words over jesus'
i'm not at least bit surprised. one passage requires integrity, you obviously chose the one that doesn't. you chose the one that is all to easy.
i'm impressed

If you want to here it from Jesus check out (Matthew 21:12-13). It's the story of him overturning the tables of moneychangers in the temple. I'd call that a pretty stern rebuke. Wouldn't you?

Some more JC from Luke 17

3 So watch yourselves.
“If your brother or sister[a] sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them

It's important to realize that message boards make everything said come off 10x harsher than it most likely would in real life. I really do want the best for everyone here and wish no ill will to exist between myself and anyone here. But I won't stand around and be tolerant toward things that are evil.

3 So watch yourselves.
“If your brother or sister[a] sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them

notice the word brother...
lets look at the context of this passage shall we
1 Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come. 2 It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble. 3 So watch yourselves.
“If your brother or sister[a] sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. 4 Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.

rebuke your brother in christ.

now read luke 6
32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you?
Even sinners do that. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. 35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. are you arguing the point of view that Jesus is saying to only rebuke brothers in Christ and not sisters in Christ? Or, are you arguing that Jesus' command doesn't apply to rebuking non-believers?

that otherwise what is he saying in luke 6:32-36

as a christian...someone who claims to be christ like...
you need to realize it ain't an easy road to travel on, and to make it so, by twisting scripture into something is wasn't originally intended for is indicating how hard it really is to follow what jesus taught...but you bought into it so?
show me how you stand apart from the world while you stand in judgement of others? "what credit is that to you?"

Let's talk about love. You obviously feel I'm being unloving. Is it the tone in which I write or is it the fact that I'm saying your position on promiscuity and abortion is dead wrong? If it's the former, I certainly apologize and repeat that it's very easy to come off as too harsh on a message board. If it's the latter then I must tell you that you've subcribed to a lie that says correcting and rebuking evil behavior is itself evil.

I'd also say that Jesus would tell you the exact same thing I am, though he'd probably come off a little gentler. The content of his message would be identical to what I'm saying. Believe me when I say I can pull out scriptures all day to support that statement

if you are going by a preconceived notion you are judging...

well being that you want to live in a fantasy world where everyone is perfect i think being realistic about the issue is going to add to the solution rather to the problem.

it is my concern that people appoint themselves as the moral authority...when it is never their place to judge those who do not believe as you do. i would suggest listening before judging that would help further your cause.
foresight seems to be lacking. haven't you already figured that out?
if one approaches the problem with hostility the symptom of the problem starts to create a life of it's own, while the root of the problem is denied by placing a band aid on the symptoms...like pulling a weed from the surface, pretty soon that root will take hold and it'll only get harder to pull out.
so do you want to get to the root of the problem or not? the root of the problem is to be compassionate and open to hear what people have to say...
intolerance is the enemy.

Do you realize your definition of judging isn't not even close to fitting the Biblical definition of judgement? It's just some new age bs that says we have to tolerate and accept everyone's evil actions lest we be labeled judges
