Lilith is a Jewish demon. I cannot listen to those songs as that would violate numerous Jewish laws.
You dont have to listen then. Just know interpertations differ on beliefs. One religions interpetation may differ in a different one.

@Eliana

Here's one interpitation regarding Lucifer....

Imagine if you will that Lucifer giving Eve the forbidden fruit was a gift. It gave her knowledge. And that Lucifer goes against authority. Because that authority is horrible. The christian god is horrible. Lucifer going against him is going against a tyrant.

Now that's not my interpetation. But thats one that's more positive. I dont believe in myths being literal. I just believe in what a deity represents and I look for their help.

Adam and Eve are core to my beliefs, so I imagine it as Genesis says. While I realize this is an interfaith forum my tolerance for calling HaShem evil or other denigrating comments about him is zero.

I stumbled across this forum and thought I'd give it a go. A bit about myself:

- I'm blunt.
- I'm very Jewish, Modern Orthodox if that matters.
- I can't stand Messianic "Jews", "Jews" for Jesus, Christian Zionists and American evangelicals in general.
- I'm 26
- I'm a widow
- I was married to a Christian. I don't recommend interfaith marriages.
- I worked as a professional model and been around the world.
- Born in Israel, moved to Ireland when I was three.

Ask me almost anything and I'll try and answer.
Shalom!

Shrugs. I don't consider him evil. I just was pointing out one view that puts Lucifer in a more positive light. Turning a myth on its head. My beliefs on Lucifer are not typical of luciferians and I don't believe the Abrahamic god to be evil in the slightest.

I dont believe in myths being literal. My experiences with Lucifer are very personal. To me he's a deity of light, knowledge, freedom, and independence. I don't believe he literally did anything with fruit and such.

The abrahamic God doesn't have anything to do with my beliefs

Have you read "Letters From Earth" by Mark Twain?
Not your conventional Lucifer.

No religious beliefs
Could you give a 30.000 foot view of "Modern Orthodox" as compare to other Jewish "religious movements" and in particular the ultra Orthodox that we see in Israel these days? I mean the guys with the black hats. ;)

I could look it up, but it would be interesting to get it from you.

I'm old (83), somewhat atheist, though I've dabbled in various religions at times, and am an ex-pat Brit living in the USA. I had a very close Jewish friend (now deceased) and have an interest in the Jewish faith.

This is more of my interpetation...a poem I wrote...again myths are not considered literal in my belief system...this is more my personal experience
Title: As the wind blows and owls hoot

The darkness comforts
Nyx protects all
Her embrace is cool and sweet.
A motherly goddess whispering in your ear
Take in the Night, the dark let it comfort you,
Let her wings lift you up

There you'll find in the night sky
The Lightbringer
Whose love envelops all
The misfits, the freaks, the lost, the orphans
And those who are rejected.
Hail to Lucifer the Morning Star
Let him reach and comfort you
Let his light guide you my friend.

There in the dark and the light
Let Nature
Sing you a song
And show you
To hope and comfort

@Eliana so not to derail your thread if you want to pm me or make a seperate thread talking about my beliefs thats ok. If not that's fine too. I just dont want to derail your thread
