I don't believe in Kabbalah or have much regard for it.
So you reject the idea of tzaddiks? Or don't have regard for the Baal Shem Tov nor the Zohar? And also you don't have much regard for the Lubavitcher Rebbe presumably?

After being married to an evangelical I can understand the desire to distance yourself from that religious affiliation. @Eliana

Members here are probably 20% ex christians. Many are ex-evangelical. I don't think we have too many, however I would like some additional members of various types. I think the pizza needs more toppings.

The admins are working on that, making the layout better etc. By the way if you have suggestions make sure to drop them in the Site Feedback section. Its private, so only you and the mods and admins will see a thread you create there.

What part of "I don't believe in Kabbalah or have much regard for it." was confusing? I'm not Hasidic or Ultra-Orthodox. If I was, I wouldn't be on this forum.

Tzaddik has multiple meanings as do terms like "mashiach". I think a lot of kabbalah is a bunch of mystical magical woo that is not supported by the Torah nor any part of the Tanakh. There is nothing wrong with a philosophical approach to the Torah, so in that regard kabbalah is fine. However I reject mysticism and much of the more sensational aspects.

My husband wasn't an evangelical, at least not in the American sense of the word. I don't hate Christians at all, I just dislike the particular groups of Christians I specifically mentioned for the reasons I mentioned.

Welcome aboard @Eliana , I missed this intro thread, but saw your interview thread. Could be interesting.

Have fun here, and don't take comments by some here too hard to heart. Almost all mean well. Some are just.......shall we say, "socially slow". ;)

Meanwhile, get comfortable, and enjoy some dark chocolate (dairy free) cake!
