Modern Science proves the Authenticity of the Glorious Qur'an

i think you still do not get it, the 2 waters can co exist, but they do not mix, the salt water does not loose it's salinity, nor does it increase for the fresh water, in my country there is a lake, and you can see a river running from one point to another point where it leaves the lake and continues further down. from a birds eye view, you can notice the 2 waters do not mix. the river runs alond the shore and countinues so untill it leaves the lake.

it is kind of hard to expalin it in detail, i need to read the verses to explain this better.

yes it is weak in your case, not having an answer to it.

that is my point, when did the west discover that?

i will also mentione the fly, but tomorrow not now

Response: Let's also add the scientific discovery of the body of Pharoah. When was this discovered as well?

I’ve stood and explored in lakes where they did mix and I’ve stood in estuaries where they did mix. So good luck with that.

first of all, just because you say so doesn't make it so. but since i'm in a good mood, tell me what hapened when the 2 waters met?

I’d need to check but I think the Celts had a legend that talked about this.

legends aren't good enough, facts are.

and how long ago was that?

Yes it does mix... you may not see it happen, but it does. There isn't a pool of fresh water out in the ocean waiting to be found...

I did summer research on salt water animals called Horseshoe crabs... we had to keep them in tanks and make sure the water was just right... often times we had to add fresh water to the tank to keep the salinity balanced... If the two waters didn't mix, this wouldn't have worked... we would have added fresh water and it would have just formed a deadly layer in the tank.

Hey, we've been figuring things out for ten thousand years... writing it down wasn't much an issue when you live someplace that paper decays rapidly.

that is my point, when did the west discover that?

In the estuaries there was ‘salt gradient’ with the water getting progressively more freshwater the further away from the sea you moved. I don’t really know why you disbelieve me on this since I’m pretty sure you could google it to find out.

The Celts date from before 5th century BC.

the water turns back, but even if it goes on to go through the othe water, you can notice it, they are different.

was that salt water collected from the oceans or was it man made by adding salt?

well not my problem is it.

if we go by that, then muslims have existed way before your people then. so they must have copied the muslims, right?;)

Please define "the west"....

everything non islamic, according to me

just a few years before Muhammed (saws) came along i assume, right?
while a cheep shot....

what does it matter? If we both indipendantly came up with the answer, so what?
We didn't hear about Islam or anyone else from your part of the world until just 400 years ago.

i do not dissbelieve on you, i'm just trying to see if you actually have witnessed it.

as for your observations that you have mentioned, i seriously do not understand anything you have said. can you try to explain it like you would to a 10 year old, i'm not good with unfurmiliar terms such as "salt gradient" or that kind of stuff, and as far as i can understand it, you haven't really said anything.

The Celts date from before 5th century BC.

just because they existed since then, that doesn't mean thats when they discovered the things about the mosquito, and can you provide any of their texts that mentione it, that would be great. i would love to see what they actually have said about it. it's such a tiny creature

does it matter? Salt water is salt water is it not? Or is there something special about sea water?
And just to clear up... both were used.

I had no idea Muhammad was so old... I thought he lived in the 7th century.

actually god sent a prophet to all the people (tribes) of the world (islamic belief), so if your ancestors received a prophet from god and didn't believe in him, thats no ones fault appart from the people who may have rejected him.

The sea had saltwater. The further back from the sea you went the less salty the water in the estuary became. Move back far enough and the saltiness disappears.

There aren’t any texts that I know of. The Celtic legends were passed on orally and rarely written down. I’ll see what I can dig up.

Must not have been a very good prophet then.... Creator has spent plenty of time with us showing us the right way for us to live. Maybe that is why a prophet wasn't very successful... it's hard to say "I have the one message from god" when god talks to just about everyone else too...
Oh well... you got your message... we got ours... I think we have both grown from them, even if we both needed different messages. After all... we don't live in the desert and you don't live in the forests.. so it makes sense that we would need to do things a little differently.

Isn't Creator wonderful for accounting for our differences. :D

the salinity does not change for either though. look it is hard for me to provide evidence at the moment, cos i just thought i'd mentione it now and speak about it tomorrow or some other day when i have time.

ah now we are getting somewhere, by that statement i can agree with you that the 2 waters mixed, reason being you had fress water and added salt to it, and the more fresh water you add, the more it looses it's salinity. the more salt you add the more it gains it's salinity. because it is fresh water. surely you understand my point.

I had no idea Muhammad was so old... I thought he lived in the 7th century.

no Muhammed (saws) was not that old, our religion is.

my other post answers this other part of your question

wow... a very broad category indeed..

well what can i say.

Actually it does... salinity varies by tide and by the location in the estuary you are in... it's all that water mixing...

What about the sea water that was mixed with fresh water?
the reason we had to add water is because as the water evaporates it leaves the salt behind.. making the rest of the remaining water saltier....
this is the same thing one does when producing salt... you just let all the water evaporate out.

Except that we don't want that.. it will kill the animals.. so we add more fresh water to replace the sea water that evaporated. The two mix, like they would in nature and the salinity is returned to what it was naturally.

What do you think happens when it rains over the ocean?

When freshwater fails to mix with saltwater it isn't to do with salinity but temperature. There are places where saltwater and freshwater don't mix for just this reason. Could this be where you are confused eselam?
