It's a big complex society. Our history contains some of the ugliest behavior ever. But also some of the best.

I don't see #BLM as adding much really. I expect that they will result in more black deaths. And more racism. I don't see them as a positive force in this country.

Are we sure he was a 'radical islamic terrorist?' The only way to be sure is if he yelled 'allahu akbar' during the act. I hear this is the definition of calling someone a 'terrorist' or not. Even though christians in the ME say it all the time..

If any one here supports the right of US citizens to bear arms in order to protect their civil liberties starts crying over cops- just so you know You're already on the side of terrorists, cop killers and mass murderers. stop pretending that you are innocent when you pick up a gun. You are already on dubious terrorist by doing so. Guns are for killing people- so grow a pair and stop pretending you are "freedom fighters" if you get queezy at the first sight of blood. Either cops can protect you or you protect yourselves by exercising your second amendment rights- along with everyone else, black, red or just plain crazy.

I will not be pandering to hypocrites when they expect sympathy for having the reality of their principles shoved in their face. TAKE IT IN. your ideals let the blood flow- is that what you want to measure them by?

My sympathy to the cops, the shooter and their families. I don't envy cops trying to do their job in these conditions- mistakes will happen and the more firearms there are (either in the hands of police or the people they are trying to protect) means those mistakes are more likely to be fatal. I can't be bothered to pretend the guy who did this is evil because it's mean trying to shrug it off as "exceptional". Its not. It's another sad day for America to do nothing about the industrialised slaughter of its own citizens because people are too afraid to accept the responsibilities that come with gun ownership and debate whether having the right to kill people is actually a right they want to have or one they could only entrust to the government as the lesser evil.

If you want gun rights to kill cops- don't cry over the badge and the uniform when you want to be able to shoot them in the back when they are looking the other way. Your sympathy means nothing- your crying over a uniform whilst letting the people wearing them die. grow up, take some responsibility for your rights and let your political narcissism die so people can figure out the best way to save lives- whether it is by gun ownership or gun control.
