The U.S. government is just in chaos at this point.
They don't have to. It's already illegal at the federal level, meaning it is still technically illegal at the state level.

require that a right have existed for such time.
Otherwise the 9th Amendment would have
no meaning. It must consider how rooted the
right to transition is since the inception of the
technology to enable it.

Children are incapable of making any irreversible and life-altering decisions.

This is why we do not allow them to smoke, drink, drive or enter into contracts.

Allowing them to "transition" is child abuse.
This is not the same. Choosing not to undergo transition will also be a case of making "irreversible and life-altering decisions". Puberty is a real thing.
