Do you honestly believe a pre-pubescent child has any idea at all what it means for their future, going down that rabbit hole?
Providing "gender affirming" care, is not just about transitioning (by transition, I'm meaning reassignment). In fact that is usually not the ultimate goal.
And as far as I know, puberty blockers are reversible, not a permanent thing.
(Same reason why people think chemical castration is good, it's safe and reversible).
Edit: Had to check: Are they reversible? The effects of puberty blockers are physically reversible. Puberty blockers only pause the production of testosterone and estrogen hormones. Once a person stops using this medication, their body begins production once more, leading to the development of breasts and facial hair.
Puberty blockers: Definition, purpose, what to expect, and more.
Edit 2: I don't know if very many (if at all) people that are talking about performing a sex reassignment surgery on a prepubescent person.
