Do you honestly believe a pre-pubescent child has any idea at all what it means for their future, going down that rabbit hole?

Providing "gender affirming" care, is not just about transitioning (by transition, I'm meaning reassignment). In fact that is usually not the ultimate goal.

And as far as I know, puberty blockers are reversible, not a permanent thing.

(Same reason why people think chemical castration is good, it's safe and reversible).

Edit: Had to check: Are they reversible? The effects of puberty blockers are physically reversible. Puberty blockers only pause the production of testosterone and estrogen hormones. Once a person stops using this medication, their body begins production once more, leading to the development of breasts and facial hair.

Puberty blockers: Definition, purpose, what to expect, and more.

Edit 2: I don't know if very many (if at all) people that are talking about performing a sex reassignment surgery on a prepubescent person.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
What is wrong with letting nature decide? I agree this is a form of child abuse.
I think its the best course to go along with what nature brings to the table. Seems like less troubles overall from my perspective.

But I don't think nature ought to be controlled by legislating what that person wants or don't want to be. That said, I agree it's child abuse before a certain age.

Who else knows you better then yourself? If there is someone that knows you better then you, you might want to apologize to the mirror.
There's lots of mentally ill people in the world. Should a kid who thinks he's a dog get an operation to turn him into a dog?

It's still real to them, and I'd rather work with them where they are as opposed to where I think they should be, based on my own biases.
Not biases - reality. It is based on reality.

Our subjective perception of ourselves does not always line up with reality.

The sooner we help people realize that - the better for them.
