Mosque at Ground Zero

It seems you really enjoy posting this stuff.

So, what are you saying, that all muslims and their activities should be subject to skepticism and in some cases opposition? Are you saying they should get special treatment?

I think she is saying ( i may be wrong)that the curent skepticism about the Intentions of Islam originated and are perpetuated from within Islam.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.

First of all - I don't "enjoy posting this stuff." I really, really wish that radical Muslims would calm their ***** down and quit wreaking havoc. They make life extremely difficult for the majority of Muslims who are obviously not interested in raising hell.

What I am saying is that I am opposed to burying my head in the sand. I am opposed to turning my head from the reality that radical Islam is a destructive element of today's world society.

I support the civil right of free speech, as well as the civil right of freedom of religion - both of which are sorely lacking in many parts of the world today - ESPECIALLY in many Muslim-dominated parts of the world.

ALL citizens and legal residents of the US should be subject to the same laws and the same level of scrutiny - as well as the same exposure to possible criticism and skepticism.

It's all about civil rights to me - and as I've stated repeatedly - as far as I can tell, the Cordoba Group has the right to build the mosque/community center at that location.

I know this probably doesn't count for a lot among the theists on this forum, but I think that the only "proper" Muslims and Christians are the ones who take the Quran and the Bible literary, i.e. the fundamentalists. According to the proponents of the faiths these books are supposed to be the inspired word of god, eternally true and unchangeable. This is not a "build your faith" buffet. It's all or nothing as far as I see it. After all, that is the authority that their religions are built upon and without it they have nothing.

Religion cannot and should not change. Ever. And if it can, then why the hell should the changes "you" make count for anything more than the changes "I" make?

So either stick with the books as written or get behind me as your new prophet!

Notice: PM me for commandments if you chose option #2.

Arabs were not a problem until the Christians dictating foreign policy decided that Christian consumers have the God given right to the natural resources on Arab lands. Now look at Christians squawking when Arabs retaliate.

But you refuse to face up to the rest of it and deal with the arguments within?
Show me why you think I am wrong please. :)
From your perspective you're clearly not wrong.
But your black and white opinions about a religion you don't believe in does not count for a lot with one such as I who chooses to feast at a "build your faith buffet".

So, what you are essentially saying is that anyone's version of any religion is equally correct and valid?
There are no "true" teachings of any religion?

What's your position on the argument?
My position is that the US should make a monument of Ground zErO that includes open space for several blocks on all sides for Gardens of REmembraNce. Outside of this space, encourage commerce.

Yup that's it.
There are teachings of all religions and none which are subjectively true

I'm sure you meant "objectively", but no matter.

That basically means that anyone can make up whatever they like and the whole thing loses all its meaning and value. But hey, being an atheist, this was how I felt about the whole issue to begin with. ;)

There's a myriad of ways one can construct it. Much like a half full glass.

Ah, yes, those sweet and precious Muslim extremists have absolutely nothing to do with the current skepticism toward Islam. So what's an errant plane or two, a few beheadings, coupla hijackings, and some hell raising in Malaysia and Iraq and India and the Sudan and Algeria and Afghanistan and New York and Pakistan and Israel and Russia and Chechnya and the Philippines and Indonesia and Nigeria and England and Thailand and Spain and Egypt and Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia and Ingushetia and Dagestan and Turkey and Morocco and Yemen and Lebanon and France and Uzbekistan and Gaza and Tunisia and Kosovo and Bosnia and Mauritania and Kenya and Eritrea and Syria and Somalia and California and Kuwait and Virginia and Ethiopia and Iran and Jordan and United Arab Emirates and Louisiana and Texas and Tanzania and Germany and Australia and Pennsylvania and Belgium and Denmark and East Timor and Qatar and Maryland and Tajikistan and the Netherlands and Scotland and Chad and Canada and China and Nepal and the Maldives and Argentina and Mali and Angola and the Ukraine and Uganda...ad nauseum...

Just to put a bit of perspective on things - since AUGUST 14TH there have been 52 jihadist attacks, leaving 232 dead bodies and over 400 people injured.

Those incidents have about as much to do with the planned Community Center as the following have to do with the new YMCA built up in Monument, CO...

Time for New Yorkers to fess up and admit a Mosque near Ground Zero will encourage terrorism.
