I don't think Sound of Music is overexposed. I watched some of it on TV once recently, and that's the only time I ever remember watching it on TV. I don't remember seeing it on any other time. I watched it well over 8 times as a kid, but I've also seen it 2 or 3 times since I was 20 or so.
For anyone who likes the Sound of Music, just watch this clip of Antwerp's central train station.........
YouTube - Centraal Station Antwerpen gaat uit zijn dak!

I think there's only been a few that I purposely watched 8 or more times.

Anchorman
The LotR series

Well, I think that room is so obviously the best :D
Dialogue and quentin just go very well together.. In writing, directing and acting..

That reminds me I forgot from Dusk till Dawn. El Mariachi and Desparado, mostly because I liked Robert Rodriguezs segment in four rooms also.

I love Duma. Its a great movie for both kids and adults. One of the best childrens movie ever made. I only seen it once. It is an art house film.

Aviator--I've been fascinated with Howard Hughes for a long time, not sure how true to life this movie was but the actors were great and the cinematography was fantastic! I think this movie earned a cinematography award at the Oscars.

Forrest Gump--if not eight times, close.

The Wizard of Oz--mainly because it was on tv every year and probably still is. The first show I ever saw on a color TV, it started out black and white and when it went to color I thought that was so magical lol!

O Brother Wherefore Art Thou--have seen this three times, wouldn't mind seeing it again. It gets my vote for funniest movie ever!
