I saw X3... To me, it kind of makes Magneto and his brotherhood seem like the better side to be on. I was rooting for them, not the X-Men. The X-Men looked like bad guys to me.

Or maybe I didn't get the plot. :sorry1:

Nono, it wasn't you. It's just that they hired writers who have never read an x-men comic ever. Ever.

Oh yes, a fantastic film. I saw it years ago when it first came out (before kids put an almost complete stop to visits to the cinema) but I'd love to se it again.

I haven't sen it yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing the Russian film Night Watch (definitely with subtitles - I hate dubbing). My brother (who's a major horror film nut) highly recommended it. Anyone else seen it?

Crash - Very cool movie about racism in LA. It claims to be an urban thriller, but it's more like a suspense/drama. It personalized racism and demonized it at the same time - wonderfully done.
Crash was one of the best movies I've seen in ages. I loved how it demonstrated that there is good in the worst of us and bad in the best of us. If it hadn't won the Oscar for best picture, I'd have been very, very disappointed.

Aeon Flux indeed sucked (last movie I have watched)... I loved the shorts on MTV back in the day so it was disappointing. Charlize Theron was a terrible choice as Aeon!

Kate Beckinsale, Uma Thurman, even Hilary Swank would have been better. Theron is too 'soft'.

Uma would have been amazing as Aeon, I think. But I may be biased because I think Uma can do no wrong. Beckinsale would have been great as well.

I watched Ultra Violet and Underworld Evolution this weekend.

I choose not to comment on either, hahaha.

Really? I saw it with four other people. Completely bored out of my mind, I look over to see what the others are doing and if they are enjoying the movie. The first friend was sleeping, the second was daydreaming, the third was text messaging, and the fourth was spread out on three chairs and sleeping. We all left early even though we couldn't get our money back.

Do NOT, again do NOT see Nacho Libre. That has now replaced Ishtar as the all time worst movie in the world!

I repeat: Do NOT see Nacho Libre.

I'll pass that on to my son. He thinks it looks absolutely hilarious...but then what does a 14 year old know.

We just finished watching Nanny McPhee. I loved it but then I'm an Emma Thompson fan.

Well I've been watching a lot of "The Sopranos". This season wasn't the best, but at the same time it will be a tough one to forget, solely because of the controversial issues involved. I also suggest you guys try and catch a show called "Entourage".... great show.

X-Men 3 was great. The special effects were solid, and to go into an x-men movie expecting to see Academy Award material then you will be dissapointed, the CGI effects are unbelievable.

Superman Returns was solid. I loved it, and have grown to appreciate superman so much more because of it. Again, the CGI in this film is unbelievable... some of the things they can do on the big screen now are mind boggling.

It's All Gone Pete Tong - Great flick.... but if your not into movies which involve a whole lot of drugs and alcohol then I suggest you stay away from this one.

Nacho Libre: Anyone with a funny bone in their body should see this film. It's good clean family fun. Very enjoyable (but not Jack Black's best).

Superman Returns: I guess those complaining about this movie just want mindless CGI and action. This movie actually has a heart as Superman struggles with the conflict of being away for five years and learning the world has moved on without him. Very entertaining.

Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Looking forward to this one. The first was a pleasent surprise. Hoping for more of the same, however, the previews make it look like they've geeked out on the CGI.

By the way: Regarding the CGI in Superman...it kicks butt. I just rewatched Matrix Reloaded last night and Neo's flying scenes are utter crap compared to the Man of Steel.

I normally wait until they come out on DVD and just rent them from Netflix. That way when I fall asleep 10 minutes into the movie, I can just go back after my nap and watch it. I'm getting old. Sit down for 5 minutes and I'm snoring away.

But I digress. My son has been wandering around the house muttering, "Hello Elizabeth" and then "Hide the rum". Made even more hilarious by the fact that he's an excellent mimic. So this one I will go to the theatre to see.
