I haven't seen I Am Legend yet but my daughter said she thinks it's Will Smith's best acting performance ever. Was he that good?

He was good. Parts of it were very heartbreaking. I haven't seen The Pursuit of Happiness yet, though, and that looked really...emotional, so I can't say if it was his BEST work, but it was good.

I have been watching a lot of Phillippine movies. I don’t have to worry about subtitles…

Whatever Happened To Baby Jane
DVD/ B&W. 135 Mins./ NR/ 1962
In this Grand Guignol chiller, Hudson sisters Jane (Bette Davis) and Blanche (Joan Crawford), both aging actresses, share a rotting Los Angeles mansion. Jane, once a vaudeville headliner, has seen her career wane while her sibling's star soared. A devastating car crash -- blamed on a drunken, green-eyed Jane -- leaves Blanche wheelchair-bound, and the increasingly psychotic Jane seizes the chance to settle the score and plot her showbiz comeback.

Yellow Submarine
DVD/ Color/ 89 Mins./ G/ 1968
A must for Beatles fans … and everyone else! The Fab Four's first (and only) animated feature sees the boys trying to save Pepperland from the scourge of the Blue Meanies. It's a slender peg, but strong enough to mount such gems as "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds," When I'm 64" and "All You Need Is Love." As always, puns, non sequiturs and surrealistic flights of fancy abound.

One has to appreciate a movie that truly targets it’s audience.

A CHRISTMAS STORY (with commentary)
DVD/ Color/ 93 Mins./ PG/ 1983
Humorist Jean Shepard's nostalgic view of Christmastime in Indiana during the 1940s is a holiday classic. Nine-year-old Ralphie desperately wants a Red Ryder BB Gun for Christmas and wages an all-out campaign to convince his reluctant parents (Darren McGavin and Melinda Dillon) that the toy is safe. Meanwhile, as Ralphie prepares for the big day, his brother has a strange relationship with food, and his dad fights the never-ending furnace battle.

One either loves this movie or they hate it but you cannot receive this DVD without stopping to watch the commentary.

THE CAR
DVD/ Color/ 96 Mins./ PG/ 1977
James Brolin palys a sheriff who is investigating a car that is terrorizing the local residents. No one seems able to stop or halt this killing machine.

SPOILER: Who knew that Satan could be so beautiful?

There were six Cars built for filming by Barris Kustoms in Lynnwood, California: one main car of steel and five fiberglass replicas. Three replicas were destroyed in the climactic explosion scene and the other two replicas were wrecked in rollovers. The gloss-black main Car is a custom Lincoln Mark III with a locked 4.11 differential (to allow easier spinning), a 460 cubic-inch V8 engine, heavy-duty suspension, roll bar, safety harness, and amber-tinted glass. The top is lowered and the beltline raised. Twelve craftsmen built the main Car in six weeks.

Princesinha
Blood & Chocolate.

I liked it. It was a werewolf movie, but it wasn't your typical werewolf movie. More of a romance than anything. The only one of the cast I was familiar with was British cutie, Hugh Dancy. Except in this movie he chucked his lovely English accent to play an American.

THE HOST
DVD/ Color/ 119 Mins./ R/ 2006
Seoul's River Han is the watery birthplace of a giant mutant creature bent on the city's total destruction. Hie-bong (Hie-bong Byeon) is a humble snack bar owner whose precious granddaughter Hyun-seo (Ah-sung Ko) is scooped up by the scaly lizard, presumably as an appetizer before the beast devours all of Seoul. Can the mild-mannered concession peddler, his dim son and slacker grandson band together and save both child and city?

HAIRSPRAY
DVD/ Color/ 120 Mins./ PG/ 2006
Set in 1962, this colorful adaptation of the Tony-winning musical (spawned by director John Waters' cult classic of the same name) follows ambitious teen Tracy Turnblad (Nikki Blonsky), who tries to integrate a racially divided Baltimore one watusi at a time. The film's star-studded cast includes John Travolta, Queen Latifah, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken, Allison Janney, James Marsden and Amanda Bynes.

Watched "Pirates of the Caribbean: World's End," for the second time.

Pirates: Check

Ugly Fish People: Check

Keith Richards: Check

Storyline That Looks Like It Was Assembled By A Drunkard Who Got A Hold of Some Tainted Whisky While Sniffing Paint: Double Check.

I thought watching it a second time would make it better.
