PRIMITIVE LOVE
DVD/ Color/ 82 Mins./ NR/ 1964
Jayne Mansfield, the quintessential blonde bombshell is paired with the famed horror movie actor Boris Karloff in this over-the-top double feature. In "Primitive Love," Jayne Mansfield, vacationing in Italy, delights two voyeuristic bellhops in what is a relatively rare campy spaghetti sex farce.

I can't stop watching it.:help:

Through the Looking Glass
I saw Cloverfield last night. I really enjoyed it. The central conceit was the sam as The Blair Witch Project but it had a lot more action, better acting and production and a subtle existential subtext. As much as I enjoyed it though, I think "The Host" is a better modern take on the idea os a giant monster terrorizing a city.

Charley
DVD/ Color/ 103 Mins./ PG/ 1968
Inspired by Daniel Keyes' story Flowers for Algernon, this film explores what happens when Charly Gordon (played by Cliff Robertson, who won an Oscar for his portrayal), a mentally handicapped adult, suddenly finds his faculties restored after an operation. Suddenly exposed to a world more complicated than before, Charly relies on the kindness of teachers, doctor and his caseworker (Claire Bloom) to get acclimated to his new capabilities.
Oh, I LOVED Charley! I would highly recommend it to EVERYBODY!

I was just going to say the same thing. If you hadn't brought that up, I would have been interested in your comparison. Since I recently saw "The Host" (upon your recomendation) it's still fresh in my mind. I must shamefully admit, the "Godzilla 1998" (Gino) film was better than Cloverfield.

"Shoot 'em Up" - loved it.
"In the Name of the King" - came off like a 'Lord of the Rings: Return of the King' remake but without hobbits, slow and predictable but the abundance of big-name actors made it interesting.

As I sit here with my leg up this morning, I have watched, "Conan the Barbarian", "O' Brother where Art Thou? and "Mr Mom". The last two are CLASSICS and the first was just fun to watch. :D

I can hear the Hollywood production pitch now: "It's like Mr. Mom meets Conan the Barbarian." Sounds silly, but I think they greenlit that very pitch to make The Pacifier.

The Cars That Ate Paris
DVD/ Color/ 86 Mins./ NR/ 1974
Filmmaker Peter Weir satirizes Australian popular culture's obsession with cars in this dark and funny tale. When Arthur (John Mellon) is kidnapped and kept in the remote town of Paris, he finds that the eccentric residents have an unusual relationship with their equally strange fleet of automobiles. This disc includes an interview with the director, as well as Weir's 1977 TV movie "The Plumber."

THE LAST AMERICAN VIRGIN
DVD/ Color/ 92 Mins./ R/ 1982
Arguably the standard bearer for the teen sex comedies of the early 1980s, The Last American Virgin relates the sexual misadventures of Gary, a hapless, chaste pizza-delivery guy hoping to "lose it" to some deserving young lady. Before that happens, we get a Devo soundtrack, a locker-room "penis" contest, weird exchange students, crab lice, a fat-kid schlemiel and Diane Franklin as the "nice new girl in town."

The Big Bounce... I have seen it before, but it was good to see it again. I also watched Forest Gump again.

INTO THE WOODS
DVD/ Color/ 153 Mins./ NR/ 1990
Stephen Sondheim's Tony-winning musical proves that fairy tales don't end at "happily ever after." An assortment of well-known characters from "Little Red Riding Hood," "Cinderella" and "Jack and the Beanstalk" head into the woods for a variety of reasons, but they soon discover a common enemy -- an angry giant who threatens to trample them all. A stand-out cast from the original Broadway production includes Bernadette Peters and Joanna Gleason.
