Hmmm ... seemed like just more canned commercial pop, to me. I was excited at first, because I love 'world music' and thought I was going to hear something exotic. But as the song progressed, it didn't go anywhere new.

Here's some standard pop, nothing exotic, but well done and with a great message: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x19MATgW-ik

This isn't something that I could enjoy on a daily basis but one can't really dispute that it's got a good message. And I particularly liked the ending. (Go figure, huh?)

The style of music is just as you stated, standard pop.

Mavis has a really pretty face. I feel kind of guilty that that's the first thing I noticed. But she does, she has a beautiful face.

Karma is really good. It has Sarah McLachlan singing on some songs...
Silence: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Viu2M1Gl5oY

Chimera and Poem are two of my favorites. They have Leah Nash from Six Pence Non the Richer (old christian group) singing on some songs. Wow did she ever grow up! LOL!
Innocente: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBN79R5pP90

If ya like them check out two other at Youtube.

Enigma:

Hi there!

Thanks for posting these! I enjoyed watching them.

The first video, Silence, was probably my favorite. I'm a fan of the song. I have Sarah Mac's version of this and it's wonderful. The remix is really good as well. I really liked the video...how such simplistic imagery, a man and woman running...bound together...something so simple but stirs such strong emotion and can mean so many different things.

Innocente...I'll be honest, at first I didn't like it but her voice is captivating. She has such a lovely voice (and face) anyway. Once the chorus hit, you're swept away by her swooning vocals. And again, I love the simplistic video. Simple but full of symbolism and pleasant imagery.

I grew up w/ Enigma. I remember one of our assignments in French class was to translate all the French in the video. I also thought both of the people in the video were really lovely.

Sweet Lullaby was really pretty. Seems I've seen and heard this before but can't remember when. I don't remember it being played on VH1.

This is old, but hopefully you get more out of the lyrics than anything else:

This is a good one.

I'm more into Maynard in A Perfect Circle.

Blue and The Noose are probably my favorite Maynard-involved tunes.

I think he also did an incredible job w/ John Lennon's Imagine.

But Blue...Blue just moves me.

I think this is actually an amateur video. Or, I could be wrong. Anyway...the song is there and that's all that really matters.

Edit: I really like this song but the video is pretty creepy. So, please, be forewarned.

It was their one big hit. They did like four or five alums after that one. Each one showcases a different part of the world and their culture and then proceeds from the CD go to charities in that part of the world. They did one that was Bohemian style that is my favorite. They always use folk music from the regions.

I love the parts of the instrumental parts of the Deep Forest song. Really didn't like the high pitched voices.

Psychosticks song Beer! The audio is terrible, so you have to really turn your speakers up. I have no idea what the voice in the middle of it is either.

This is a video from a band called Ayreon. To me concept albums have become so clique` and the last great one was Queensryche's Operation Mindcrime. This one from Ayreon, The Human Equasion, is a double album and a concept album. It is brilliant! It tells the story of a man who is in a car accident and spends 20 days in a coma where he deals with his different emotions which are trying to help him. He relives and deals with his life as well. Each emotion within him is sung by a different singer. Some of the singers are James Labrie from Dream Theater, Eric Clayton from Savior Machine, Devin Townsand and some great unknowns. Each song represents one day in his comma. This is the video for Day 11 Love.

Hmmm, that's certainly an interesting idea. I wasn't that taken with the music, itself, though. And if you hadn't told me the story, I wouldn't have guessed any of that - though, to be fair, If I were listening to the whole album I probably would get it.

Anyone remember this folk gem? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4_x24cVHr8
