oops, too slow.OK, I hereby declare all rules suspended for the next 3 seconds
Now that is just plain out right mean.oops, too slow.
Sorry guys.
I got the joke....but it would be even funnier if the people who made it and actually know what's in the vaccine, tested it.....As a general principle I thought it was pretty clever.
My philosophy is: never trust anyone anymore than you have to.I got the joke....but it would be even funnier if the people who made it and actually know what's in the vaccine, tested it.....
Do you trust a greedy pharmaceutical industry to not put profits first? I don't.
My philosophy is: never trust anyone anymore than you have to.
In this case I feel like we have to.
No ****.
The meme ( which is most likey oldish) is talking about testing, not distribution.
You don't get it......
Our leaders could never go first on the queue for the vaccine, not for any reason.
Imagine our PM insisting that it was only as a test. Who would believe that. ??
What a funny idea!
That is obvious. You're right, I don't get it.
All I get is that Pfizer's vaccination has been accepted for delivery in all of the UK.But hey, as long as you do I guess that's all that matters. . .
*Smiles and waves ....**Smiles and backs away slowly . . .
I saw how it could be viewed that way.As a general principle I thought it was pretty clever.
None of which is what we were talking about, but don't let that slow you downThat is obvious.
All I get is that Pfizer's vaccination has been accepted for delivery in all of the UK.
And NHS workers get it first. Then 90's, 80's, 70's and 'at-risk' persons, in that order.
Anybody jumping the queue under the pretense that they feel they should be tested first would be laughed down by some, shouted down by others. They
couldn't be that daft......
*Smiles and waves ....*
I was responding just to Mika Wisniewsk's statement in the OP.None of which is what we were talking about, but don't let that slow you down
I saw how it could be viewed that way.
But underlying the shared anti-politician attitude,
there seemed to be an anti-vaxish one.
The vaccine has undergone tests.
If anything, I should get it before any politicians.
(I'm essential. They're easily replaced.)
Scientists? Oh, you mean the ones working for pharmaceutical mega-corporations? No, I don't trust them same as I don't trust politicians. That's naive. It was scientists who created BNC weapons, after all. Being a scientist doesn't automatically make you trustworthy or virtuous. They're just humans.Who doesn't trust scientists more than politicians?
You actually "butted into" my post. Go read post 10.I was responding just to Mika Wisniewsk's statement in the OP.
Wasn't listening to you until you butted in to my post , clearly out of context.
*Still waving, smiling*
A local hospital just got in 2000 vaccines. It's a meme, it's open for interpretation.
There's more than one vaccine and several others are still being tested.
(4 days ago),". A handful of vaccines now have been authorized around the globe; many more remain in development".
COVID-19 vaccine tracker
The latest I heard they're starting out with healthcare workers, then essential workers like cops, firemen, forum administrators, teachers, accordion salesmen, . . .A local hospital just got in 2000 vaccines.
They didn't notify me though....I'm likely not on the high priority list.
I am fairly certain you are free to present your denials without my having to break Forum Rules....Just curious.

Hello Deeje. And what will happen if some long term adverse reaction makes itself manifest down the track and covid is still mutating and waiting for another vaccine to fill the need?
Hang on...... who told you that Covid can kill or put-down a high % of its victims? If the front-line workers all go down, who will be left to care for all the victims of the new and stronger strain?
That's a strange pov imo. I am 70+ and offered to be a guinea pig for Oxford Uni's research team about three months ago, but so many oldies came forward that I was not selected. We don't think quite the same as you about our researchers, it seems. The 70's up are completely expendable apparently. No one cares about them.
That's your opinion, Deeje. Who told you the vaccine was tested for only two weeks? The vaccination might save our communities in the opinions of most Brits.Well, IMO only someone "daft" would trust a pharma company with huge financial interests in a vaccine during a pandemic, to test the stuff thoroughly. No one died in two weeks?....Great let's get ours out first and clean up.....this is the world we live in.....there are no good people anymore...no one you can trust with your life anymore. Sadly, those days are gone.
