Well, it's not a challenge, it's worship.Whats the deal with this fasting challenge?
Is it just a 12 hour dawn to dusk curfew on food.
If so, I do that every day. I only eat 1 meal per day, and usually at night. So I don't see any particular challenge there. If we really want to feel for those actually starving in Somalia etc then perhaps we should see who survives without food for 12 days not 12 hours, but the concept is good.
I send my best regards to my Muslim Terran Bruddas, in celebration of this significant festival of your tribe.
Cheers

LOL i too eat only once a day when i'm not hungry or when working, but that doesn't count. (is it an aussie thing or what? )
thank you for your kind regards. hope you enjoy this month also.
Oh are you Australian??
yup sure am. well i live here.
in my commune we do hunger fasting.
what's terran bruddas?
.
Which language is this? :rainbow1:"Terrans" means humans, and "bruddas" means brothers.
is anyone thinking of fasting this ramadan.
have you fasted in any of the previous years?
if so what did you think of it, nice right?
i personally wish that it was ramadan all year round although it would get kind of hard after a few years, lol. every year just a few months after ramadan is over, i go nuts when i realise that the next ramadan is some more months away. and now i can't wait to start. hopping that Allah will accept it and be pleased with me and with all those who shall fast too. inshallah.
I am married to a muslim woman and since eating twice a day is a bit much i have choosen to not eat during ramadan until the evening.is anyone thinking of fasting this ramadan.
Yephave you fasted in any of the previous years?
Unhealthy, risky, not really productive and far from spiritual as it is done in the muslim world.if so what did you think of it, nice right?
Of course you (as muslim) should know that nobody keeps you from fasting more often. If it were as you stated above then you would do that.i personally wish that it was ramadan all year round although it would get kind of hard after a few years, lol. every year just a few months after ramadan is over, i go nuts when i realise that the next ramadan is some more months away. and now i can't wait to start. hopping that Allah will accept it and be pleased with me and with all those who shall fast too. inshallah.

I fast but not for religious reasons, its just when its hot i seem to lose my appetite and i need less sleep, must be something to do with our evolutionary past
Which language is this? :rainbow1:
It's just slang.
I've fasted before, but not for Ramadan and not for any religious purpose for that matter. But I'm willing to give it a try.
what?
aussie slang? how come i didn't know?
