Non Muslims: anyone of you going to fast?

No. Terran means "inhabitant of the earth" and is also used in the video game StarCraft to refer to the human faction, and "Bruddas" is merely a corruption of the world "brothers".

i understood what "bruddas" meant i just didn't know what terran whas, so it wasn't ozzie slang, thats why i didn't get it.
btw ozzie slang is weird.

so you've never tried fasting (the muslim way).

why not? it seems you can and have fasted before.

why don't you try it this year? you've got us muslims around here to help you. get up in the morning before sunrise and straight into RF, let us know whats going on? not the whole mont just a few days or just one? are you up for it grandpa? :p :D (no dissrespect meant, i just remembered that time when you were asking me about my age)

LOL no offence taken :p,for what reason should i fast other than my food consumption is less in the Summer than the Winter otherwise i see no point.

Well, Terran's a real word and StarCraft was a popular game so a lot of Ozzie's could be familiar with the term.

hey really, thats great news, i'm very happy. may Allah (swt) make it easy for you.

have you fasted for charity/fundraiser or something like that?

Yep. I don't plan on going the whole month, though. Maybe a day or two. And I have to be discreet about it around my family as they are extremely Catholic and would probably oppose it.

It shouldn't be too difficult. I already eat and sleep little as it is and I function perfectly fine.

no point? what about all the starving people in the world, get in their shoes for once, see how it is.

this is why there is corruption in the world, the rich are getting richer while the poor are getting poorer.

that is one of the reasons why muslims fast, and in return we give money to the poor before ramadan is over.

Is me fasting going to help them? i doubt it,i give money to various charities and have been an active member of a charity.

parents, what can you do? nothing really.
you can fast as much as you want, 1,2 or 3 days is ussualy the amount of days most non muslims fast, but i have heard of some who do fast the whole month, every year even though they are non muslim.

fasting is made easy by Allah, he even says the following in the quran:

[2:185] Ramadan is the month during which the Quran was revealed, providing guidance for the people, clear teachings, and the statute book. Those of you who witness this month shall fast therein. Those who are ill or traveling may substitute the same number of other days. GOD wishes for you convenience, not hardship, that you may fulfill your obligations, and to glorify GOD for guiding you, and to express your appreciation.

i hope you like it. and do let us know how it is going for you.

so are you going to do the fasting like the muslims, right. eating before sunrise and after sunset. thats good to hear.
I certainly do drink water and will have a snack in case my blood sugar drops ;)
I just don't eat any meals.

thats nice to hear. but judging from your post you don't seem to like it very much?
I see no big sense in it. I used to in former times but i found that i could get that "sense" also without a ramadan like fasting.

well if thats a somewhat serious illness, then you do not have to fast. even if you were sick as to need to have pills during the day you need not to fast.

i can't say i agree with you here, cos i've never done that, and god willing i never shall.

you aren't an ex-muslim are you?
