Really? Well these scientists don't agree with you. And btw,..I could have posted hundreds of studies...serious studies proving you wrong.

I thought that when I asked you for evidence, that you would actually try to provide evidence. Providing websites full of claims is not evidence. Now please show evidence to support your claim.

Is it really detachment from reality....or is it that they perceive it differently?
Most voters approve of our military adventures in the middle east.
(This is signaled by their re-electing those who pursue this course.)
But the results are staggeringly bad.
Does this mean they're all insane?
No....I think it's about different values & perception.
Btw, I'm certain they thin me insane.
I'm sure in all cases it is not actual insanity being talked about.
I get it to an extent.
I've 2 reasons for not listening to politicians.....
1) It's annoying.
2) It creates emotional impressions. I'd rather look at a written record for better objectivity.
I also find it annoying and I also prefer written records for better objectivity. :)
So many statements.....
Some are defensible.
Some are loopy.
But loopy statements might be only metaphor or pandering.
Without a record in office, I don't know where he stands.
He's a pretty good showman, I guess. I'll give him that. I guess he should be good at it given his career in reality TV. The weirder his statements, the more support he seems to garner. I don't get it.

I think people find his very different & entertaining approach to campaigning refreshing.
But what was once novel eventually becomes either tedious or ordinary.

Claims, but no evidence..just show the evidence.
I told you were to find it, and where it will be readily and easily found. And if text books are just a bunch of claims, then clearly you're holding some sort of unfounded and unwarranted grudge against education.

As did I Shadow. I am baffled that someone can be provided with links that show the evidence and deny that that is evidence.

Sorry, I don't see it. If you would simply post the evidence, perhaps I will see it as you see it, as evidence. I just don't see it. I see claims. Show the evidence.

We have been, and do you realize how silly it is to ask that I show a text book on an online forum?

Apparently you don't know the difference between claims and actual evidence. And I don't have time to teach you.

Claim

verb (used with object)

1. to demand by or as by virtue of a right; demand as a right or as due:
to claim an estate by inheritance.

2. to assert and demand the recognition of (a right, title, possession, etc.); assert one's right to:
to claim payment for services.

3. to assert or maintain as a fact:
She claimed that he was telling the truth.

4. to require as due or fitting:
to claim respect.
__________________________________________

Evidence

1. that which tends to prove or disprove something; ground for belief; proof.

2. something that makes plain or clear; an indication or sign:

His flushed look was visible evidence of his fever.

3. Law. data presented to a court or jury in proof of the facts in issue and which may include the testimony of witnesses, records, documents,or objects.

verb (used with object), evidenced, evidencing.

4. to make evident or clear; show clearly; manifest:

He evidenced his approval by promising his full support.

5. to support by evidence:

____________________________________________

CLAIM:

"Sexual orientation is at least partially genetic."

EVIDENCE:

“A genetic analysis of 40 pairs of homosexual brothers has uncovered a region on the X chromosome that appears to contain a gene or genes for homosexuality. When analyzing the pedigrees of homosexual males, the researcheres found evidence that the trait has a higher likelihood of being passed through maternal genes. This led them to search the X chromosome for genes predisposing to homosexuality. The researchers examined the X chromosomes of pairs of homosexual brothers for regions of DNA that most or all had in common. Of the 40 sets of brothers, 33 shared a set of five markers in the q28 region of the long arm of the X chromosome. The linkage has a LOD score of 4.0, which translates into a 99.5% certainty that there is a gene or genes in this area that predispose males to homosexuality. The chief researcher warns, however, that this one site cannot explain all instances of homosexuality, since there were some cases where the trait seemed to be passed paternally. And even among those brothers where there was no evidence that the trait was passed paternally, seven sets of brothers did not share the Xq28 markers. It seems likely that homosexuality arises more » from a variety of causes.”
________________________

“Background Findings from family and twin studies support a genetic contribution to the development of sexual orientation in men. However, previous studies have yielded conflicting evidence for linkage to chromosome Xq28.

Method We conducted a genome-wide linkage scan on 409 independent pairs of homosexual brothers (908 analyzed individuals in 384 families), by far the largest study of its kind to date.

Results We identified two regions of linkage: the pericentromeric region on chromosome 8 (maximum two-point LOD = 4.08, maximum multipoint LOD = 2.59), which overlaps with the second strongest region from a previous separate linkage scan of 155 brother pairs; and Xq28 (maximum two-point LOD = 2.99, maximum multipoint LOD = 2.76), which was also implicated in prior research.

Conclusions Results, especially in the context of past studies, support the existence of genes on pericentromeric chromosome 8 and chromosome Xq28 influencing development of male sexual orientation.”

Now provide evidence to prove shadow wolf's claim that "sexual orientation is at least partially genetic."

EVIDENCE:

“A genetic analysis of 40 pairs of homosexual brothers has uncovered a region on the X chromosome that appears to contain a gene or genes for homosexuality.

This is a claim.

When analyzing the pedigrees of homosexual males, the researcheres found evidence that the trait has a higher likelihood of being passed through maternal genes.

And this is a claim.

This led them to search the X chromosome for genes predisposing to homosexuality.

This is a claim.

The researchers examined the X chromosomes of pairs of homosexual brothers for regions of DNA that most or all had in common.

And this is another claim.

Of the 40 sets of brothers, 33 shared a set of five markers in the q28 region of the long arm of the X chromosome.

This is another claim.

The linkage has a LOD score of 4.0, which translates into a 99.5% certainty that there is a gene or genes in this area that predispose males to homosexuality.

Looks like another claim here.

The chief researcher warns, however, that this one site cannot explain all instances of homosexuality, since there were some cases where the trait seemed to be passed paternally.
And another claim.

And even among those brothers where there was no evidence that the trait was passed paternally, seven sets of brothers did not share the Xq28 markers. It seems likely that homosexuality arises more » from a variety of causes.”

And yet another claim.

All claims here..why won't you show evidence?

Obviously you, since you only take your own sources as "evidence" and everyone else's as "claims."[/QUOTE]
Well, if it makes you feel better to insult my intelligence, have at it. It really doesn't bother me, knowing very well that I have a superb understanding of the difference between claims and evidence. If you had shown evidence, I would have acknowledged evidence.
