You really believe that? So, an American president you actually think can control events in another country many thousands of miles away?

Hey, just be glad that McCain ain't president or we would have already invaded Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and probably several Boy Scout dens. And Romney couldn't care less about them unless it interfered with his moving money out of the U.S. and put into foreign bank accounts so he wouldn't have to pay much in American taxes.

Obama's Middle East policy is cautious, which it should be (how many times did we support groups there only to find them fighting us?). With the Ukraine, do you believe we should get into war with Russia? If not, what do you specifically suggest? Should we invade Libya? Syria? Iraq?

Obama's policy of vacationing at Martha's Vineyard(sarcasm) gives the image of a weak US. This gives Putin and Islamists the image, that US wont do much whatever they do. With the current state of affairs, I wouldnt be surprised if Russia conquers the whole Ukraine and heck even Baltics, and we find Obama still at Martha's Vineyard.
We should be sending troops to Ukraine, but we wont even have to fire single shot at Russia. Just the presence of a few thousand US troops, would be strong enough for Russia to stop going deeper into Ukraine and stop any planned future playing with Baltics. Russia knows it cant afford a direct War with US and its aggression in E. Europe should stop.

Notta good idea. For one, the minute we even begin to start sending troops there, Putin's logical response would be to invade all of the Ukraine immediately before we're anywhere near in position. Secondly, do you really want a situation that could easily lead to a nuclear confrontation? Is it really worth it?

What Putin probably wants is the more Slavic section of the Ukraine as he sees that this is Russia's domain, and to me the best move on our part is to do what we jointly with the EU have been doing, but probably even upping the ante even more, which may be the result after Obama visits the Baltic states later this week.

Maybe we are better off with Obama being constant vacations rather than coming up and screwing things up even worse.

- No escalation in Iraq or Afghanistan

The Republican party back in 2008 declared war on President Obama stating that their #1 desire was to make him a one term President. Not much has changed except in the Senate where their unwillingness to govern caused Sen. Reed to change the rules in a very modest way.

This contrasts sharply with California where we had a significant number of bills passed with input from both parties and we're much better off because both parties were more interested in governing rather than yelling "no" all the time.
