In Michiganistan it was close.
Had it been a forgone conclusion for one
or the other, I'd have picked Gary Johnson.
Even though Johnson proved himself to be incompetent towards the end, I have no problem if someone is for the legalization of pot but it is not wise to conduct interviews while high, I still voted for him. If he actually had a chance to win I don't know who I would have voted for.

I saw some specious claims of that.
I didn't buy'm.

I vote based on the likely effects a candidate would have in office,
not because I like or respect'm. Gary was the most likely to avoid
foreign military adventurism, appoint pro-liberty justices, & cut
spending.
Oh, & Rolling Stone opposed him, which is high praise indeed.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Trump supporters don't know how to count beyond their toes & fingers, so how in the heck do you expect them to know what 4000 is???
Libbys like to make things up anyways, throw a number out there, that's good. Liberals are so much out there in fantasy waa waa land. I doubt a coherent accurate figure could ever come out of liberals mouths. Didn't expect much anyways.

I saw interviews of him where he clearly was not firing on all eight cylinders.

Are you arguing over this because you see no possibility that Trump misspoke?

Considering the entire context of Trump's comments, it is apparent that he did not misspeak. What he said in Helsinki is exactly what he meant. His handlers made him retract that one word, which did not, however, change the context at all.

It was also interesting to note that when Putin was asked if he had any compromising information on Trump or his family, Putin never said that he did not. He laughed, then hesitated quite awhile before coming out with his rambling comment about not knowing the names of all the American businessmen who were in Moscow, but never denied having compromising information on Trump. That is very worrisome.

I'm not surprised that his slip isn't well know.
I don't recall it being mentioned in the news.
But still.....
A longer snippet for context....

Your prediction didn't come to pass.

LMAO! Wow.. .Way to LIE and MISREPRESENT WHAT HE SAID!

He was speaking hypothetically in reference to dirty politics, in that he gave an example where Sarah Palin's daughter was Off Limits from Obama's speeches, and McCain at least, did not play the "Obama is a Muslim" card-- he said it somewhat differently, but that WAS what he said.

It wasn't that he had Muslim faith, it was that this was a lie being told by GOP goons.

Since being a Muslim is not anywhere near being a high crime or misdemeanor I do not think that even the Republicans would have been that idiotic. Maybe one or two members of the house would squawk, but that is about all that would happen. At any rate I have to agree about the claims that if Obama ever mentioned his "Muslim faith" he would have to have been being sarcastic.

Oh, I think the GOP would have parlayed his being Muslim, into a way to bring Impeachment Process.

After all, they did something similar to Clinton's infidelity.

And now, they are ignoring trumps actual public TREASON. The GOP has no limits on how far they will go to try to destroy a Democrat...

... contrawise, there are NO LIMITS to anything "their dear leader" can do, that will remove their support.

They are truly the most despicable party on the planet-- and yes, I'm including both Koreas...

Well, someone's so angry that he can't behave himself.
You misread both the video and my post, then missed the point.

That would be another false-hood on your part.... oooops!
You can't even admit that you were wrong about the
Republicans impeaching Obama if he said such a thing.
He did. They didn't.

You & SZ attack my honesty, but what I see is that hatred
for Trump & adulation for Obama send reason & civility
out the window.

No, bub-- I attack you attacking me. I said I doubt that Obama had Muslim faith.

You posted a video in order to "refute" my statement-- but your video did not do that (the opposite, actually).

Yet, your comments said it did! TWICE! So, no bub-- you are being disingenuous to me-- at least three times now.

The above? Another lie-- I missed your LIE the first time I read it.

I never said they would impeach if he "said such a thing" -- what I said was they would impeach IF HE WAS, IN FACT, A MUSLIM.

Way to lie about what I said, in an effort to cover up your subsequent lies... !

And yes-- I despise trumpNazi more even than any other recent president.

And I really, REALLY hated Dubya.

Alas... I wish we had Duby back..... never thought I'd say that.

You should learn to disagree without the incivility.
And I see that @Subduction Zone likes it.
This is a darn shame.
The hatred & venom coming from the left makes it very
difficult to discuss anything related to Trump & public policy.

Hey, if you want to support a president who consistently lies, demeans innocent people, separates families, praises tyrants, tries to obstruct justice, ignores his own intelligent appointees, commits adultery, brags about groping women, sneaks in to see teen girls changing clothes, refuses to pay sub-contractors, was fined for illegal campaign contributions, was fined for his Trump University fiasco, has secret meetings with an avowed enemy of the U.S. (Putin), puts forth a tax plan that's passed that will hurt the poor and children and the elderly, then I guess I'd much rather be a "liberal" than someone who isn't willing to hold Trump responsible for any of these atrocities. IOW, that certainly ain't "Buddhist"-- that's for sure, because dharma takes a "do no harm to sentient beings" approach, but maybe you skipped out on those lessons.

Oh, btw, who's a "liberal"? Oh I forgot, stereotyping is your "thing". And, oh, btw, you should have noticed that my emoji on my last post indicated that I was using "hyperbole". Maybe look that word up, NW.

Looks like we have some partisans here on RF. Who'da thunk it? My backhanded hunch is that while Mr. Bumble may be temporarily bad for the country, he'll get people thinking and voting. Hoping the next guy/gal can rescue us.
