I'll give you this as it speaks to your lack of Understanding of what being Setian really means and why this list has several Setians that frequent it in order to share our methods and knowledge here.

Sireal, you can rub your personal attacks and insults on your chest. You are far from a threat in my eyes and i will not suffer you one bit simply because you lack what it takes to "push" me son. ;) I don't bend...especially at the neck!

What i'm saying is that butting heads hear IS expected here. Can you handle that? or do you want to talk about my mother next?! Perhaps my hair style? Grow up Sireal, i've got your lack of understanding swingin' right here. The problem IS that i understand ALL to well.

Perhaps the ToS has turned into a Jar after all, as Webb touches on concerning Schools and Jars.

Valor,
Even though you say that Sireal lacks "what tit takes to "push"" you, it seems that that is exactly what has happened. You say grow up, then come back with "i've got your lack of understanding swingin' right here.", how is this grown up?

You say you want to undertake the Quest of Xem, knowing very well he pitfalls that RKB warned about, the amplification of not just your strong points but your weak ones. I see this as a weak point in that you are letting your emotions get the better of you.

I have had some very good discussions with you but right now I am not seeing the Highest of Life, that Setian quality shine forth in your emotional reaction. Part of being a Setian is that building of Nobility within yourself. One is not the Elect of Set because they think they are, one is because they act as if they are.

I don't know whats been up with people on the forum lately but it seems as if a lot of simple, emotionally driven bickering has been coming up lately and from what it looks like to me, little introspection. My suggestion is everyone take a moment to breath and relax, and see if we can't get back to the idea of Xeper not squabbling.

If you want some good old fashion human connectivity there's a Wiccan list right over there....:troll:

LOL... that's so funny I'm not Aquino. There's a Setian named Aquino getting some good old fashion human connectivity on with Satanists at the 600 club. That "don't feed the troll" sign should be posted over there.

Ah, excellent point aa_nerut! It reminds me of RKB's philosophy of the Uniting of the Two-Lands; the infusion of the physical with the metaphysical, higher intellect combined with our base carnal instincts and human emotions which can bring forth that double-edged sword I sometimes refer to in my own definition of the Black Gift and the life Work of Xeper. Your understanding seems true!:)

I am curious why one would even be concerned if someone else was even trolling for converts. I am not saying that anyone is or isn't, but what I am very curious about, and maybe this should be another thread altogether, is how does this effect your own personal Xeper concerning yourself about whether or not someone is looking for more initiates into their group?

Short answer: no one who made joking comments, including myself, seems concerned about Aquino's posts elsewhere. There is a a lot of ground between making a humorous comment (or even several) and launching a 'slander' campaign. Crossing that ground somewhere are the points (variable by individual) where concern with the presence/words/actions of others can begin to impact someone's Work, Xeper, Path or whatever.

I never and would never slander Aquino. i Owe him much for his contributions in accordance to my initiation. He deserves respect from us

Don't know where Xem popped back into this, but I met RKB several times as a teenager when he owned the Mystic Eye occult shop in San Francisco. Even at 15 I could tell how much of a con-man he was. People would walk into the store on Broadway and ask, "Does magic really work?" and he'd wait until someone would walk out and say, "How old do you think that person was?" waiting for the answer then multiply the number or put them at least 10-15 years older than they looked.

I was lucky enough to be the chosen one, one day and when I heard the question asked I started to walk out the door and paused and turned around and said, "You know, I have very good ears and I'm 37."

I walked around the corner and waited for the guy to leave and walked back in and smiled and RKB laughed.

Interesting that a 15 year old boy could peg him for a con man but he was able to fool your Council of 9 and the Magus of the Aeon of Set as well as all of the Magistry, Priesthood, Adepts, and Setians!

Maybe the Fane of Set wanted to be fooled ;-)

I don't see why a council of conmen selling occult trinkets for annual membership dues to cultureless Occidental teens would not see value in a con man like RKB ((whoever he is)) and the ideas he had...

The Xem comment came about because of how I perceived Valor's reactions. I have been talking with him a few times about Xem and figured I would put my two cents into the mix as I have enjoyed my dialogs with him thus far and thought I would share my 3rd party, outside perspective of what I was seeing.

The last thing I want to do is turn this back to Xem or RKB just wanted to point out what I was seeing. Now the interesting thing is trying to figure out how "right" or "wrong" my perception of the events actually are.

This is the last thing I'm going to say about R. K. Barrett on this thread. I never met the man, I don't know what kind of person he was. Even though, in my opinion he fell victim to his own anecdote and failed as a Magus V*, I do think he did offer some unique insights before he fell. And as far as Xem is concerned, I don't seek it as an Initiatory quest, I simply look upon it as a curiosity - Xeper is and will always be my primary goal in Life.

Xeper!

I greatly appreciate your insight and value your logic. I was out of line but more amused than emotionally distressed. Perhaps I used to many exclemation points which made it sound dramatic.a

Alright you guys... who tattle-taled in the Setain debate thread?? Talk about image insecurity issues ((must be a guy thing, is ToS guy dominated?)). It's like nobody can talk and question about things Setian without somebody whining and tattle taling. This is the equivalent of digital, cyber, or eBook burnings where the slightest word that goes against the orthodoxy and impeckable ((impervious to being pecked at)) image of the ToS is erased and deleted by trigger happy tattle-talers. I'm just sayin...

Hey SugaCubez, it wasn't me, but I do know who the "tattle-talers" were... and they weren't all males.:p Oh, and for the record the High Priestess of the ToS is, of course, a woman.

How many cowards whose hearts are all as false As stairs of sand, wear yet upon their chins The beards of Hercules and frowning Mars, Who inward searched, have livers white as milk!
-William Shakespeare

Ah how old William is able to sum it all up so well, speaking to us from beyond the boundaries of linear time.
