If there is an established "atheist church", it could hurt the credibility of the phrase "atheism in not a religion".
Sample atheist church sermon:
"Good evening everybody. Thanks for coming. So, anybody believe in god yet? No? Me neither. Alright, see you again next week."
Do Christians in Africa who burn witches hurt the credibility of Christianity?

Sounds like a fairly Christian thing to me.
You know a lot of Christians who go around burning witches?
I know a lot of Christians who go around burning other Christians.
The burn ward at your local hospital must be quite busy. The cops too.
Its extremely busy. The E.R is also packed with lots of stoned victims too.

I strongly diagree with the notion that everyone is spiritual or that we are "hard-wired to be spiritual."
It just reeks of arrogance.
This reminds me of the "Church of Satan". Despite the fact most Satanists are anti-theists they still require the need of a "Church" or institution of some sorts. American Atheist, Atheist Alliance International, and the National Atheist Party are all "churches" of some sort for atheists regardless of the label used.
As an atheist friend of mine once told me "it is not that we don't believe in god, it is just that we have found something better".
Its not a fact that most Satanists are anti-theists.
Just saying. The whole CoS thing is fodder for flies, its just a bunch of people wanting to be a part of a group, no different than Christians, Muslims, Hindus, or Atheists. Whether or not they actually know anything about Satanism is disputable, most of them that come around here tend to get slapped around and then return to whatever narrow minded agenda they have planned.
