Paris attack: Two Muslim woman are stabbed under the Eiffel Tower | Daily Mail Online

Two Muslim women were 'stabbed repeatedly' under the Eiffel Tower amid rising tensions in Paris after the beheading of a teacher last week.

French police have arrested two female suspects following the suspected racist attacks, which were allegedly accompanied by the words 'Dirty Arabs'.

Those in custody are described as being white women of 'European appearance', who now face 'attempted murder' charges, said city prosecutors

It follows the gruesome killing of 47-year-old teacher Samuel Paty last Friday by a refugee Islamist terrorist after cartoons lampooning the Prophet Mohammed were shown to a secondary school class on freedom of speech.

President Emmanuel Macron is working on a bill to address Islamic radicals, who authorities claim are creating a parallel society outside French values.

But members of France's five million plus Muslim community have complained of 'Islamophobia' caused by a clampdown on mosques and Muslim organisations.

The victims of the attacks have been identified as French women from an Algerian background named only as Kenza, 49, and Amel, who is a few years younger.

Kenza was stabbed six times and ended up in hospital with a punctured lung, while surgery was carried out on one of Amel's hands, said an investigating source.

No information was initially released about the attack on, leading to uproar on social media, where confirmed images from the scene circulated.

A chilling video records screaming as the stabbings are carried out on Sunday evening. Police confirmed the incident had taken place last night.

A statement from Paris Police read: 'On October 18, at around 8pm, the police intervened following an emergency call from two women wounded by knives on the Champs-de-Mars' – the Field of Mars by the Eiffel Tower.

A source at the Paris prosecutors' office confirmed on Wednesday: 'An investigation for attempted murder has been opened in connection with the stabbings.'

One of the victims wore a face covering, but it was not clear whether this was because of the Covid-19 pandemic, or for cultural or religious reasons.

Kenza told Liberation newspaper: 'We were a family, five adults in all and four children. We had gone out for a walk. At the level of the Eiffel Tower there is a small rather dark park, we took a little tour in it.

'As we walked, there were two dogs that come towards us. The children got scared. My cousin, who was veiled, asked the two women if it was possible to keep their dogs with them because the children were afraid.'

The dog owners refused to put their animals on a leash, and a furious argument followed – one that included racist insults.

At around 8pm, the two women with the dogs then allegedly pulled out a knife, and launched themselves at Kenza and Amel.

'One of the two took out a knife, she slashed me on the skull, on the back on the ribs and there was a third blow on the arm,' said Kenza. 'They then attacked my cousin.'

Witnesses say they heard smears including 'Dirty Arab!' and 'Go home to your own country'. 'Call the emergency services, she stabbed him,' was also heard.

Two local shop workers then intervened and held one of the attackers down until the police arrived. The second suspect was arrested later.

Details about the stabbings come as President Emmanuel Macron prepares to lead a National Hommage to Mr Paty, who was stabbed to death by 18-year-old Russia-born killer Abdullakh Anzarov.

The beheading happened outside the Bois-d'Aulne school in Conflans-Saint-Honorine, north of Paris, where Paty taught French and Geography.

Not surprisingly this is getting no coverage in the media.

Not surprisingly this is getting no coverage in the media.

Hey, why would they cover this incident when it will only backfire their Islamophobic propaganda?

This incident, in a way, backs up what I was talking about in the previous thread about the teacher getting beheading. Those who are of cruel nature will always find excuses to exercises their cruelty, nothing to do with any religion and/or school of taught. Hell, the Buddhist in Burma have done horrible things to Muslims despite the fact that Buddhism is devoid of such teachings. Whether they scream "Allah hu Akbar" or "Dirty Arabs" or "Har Har Mahadev", it's irrelevant.

This is quite an oversimplifcation, optimistic as it may be. I know for a fact the numerous Muslims I know in person who support killing "blasphemers" aren't all "of a cruel nature." In fact, several of them are some of the kindest people I've dealt with aside from their religious beliefs.

It seems to me your statements are underestimating the power that deeply held beliefs can have on an individual's values and actions. Often enough, cruel actions aren't endorsed exclusively by cruel people; they're also endorsed by many good people with some cruel beliefs.

These stabbings are a tragedy, and I sure don't envy the job of French authorities who now have to clamp down on both Islamic and ultranationalist terrorists

Thanks in no small part to Macron's hasty, foolishly undiplomatic statements that failed to demonstrate any awareness of their potential consequences. Adding fuel to a fire of national division is one of the most incompetent and irresponsible things a high-ranking government official, let alone a president, can do.

I'm not familiar with Macron's statements although assuming that's what he did I agree that would be an incompetent thing to do.

Yep...... You saw this coming.....
So did I........

The attack on the Muslim women was/is absolutely dreadful.

It's almost as if France encouraged people to insult and upset Muslims with their manic demands for Freedom of expression, a very one sided freedom I expect because there must be loads of pictures and sentiments that are banned in France. They even try to ban the use of expressions in other languages.

Everybody knew that trouble would come from publicly showing pictures of Muhammad, particularly in the nude......... and now look at what's happening.

Mr Samuel Paty either followed the middle school syllabus in showing such pictures to his 13 yr old pupils, or was left to wander off the lesson plan, I don't know. What happened is absolutely dreadful ...... Mr Paty would have been protected in my country because he would be totally banned from teaching that fateful lesson.

I think that all this dreadful business, the hate crimes, the bigotries and more can be blamed upon French legislation and the lack of effective equality laws.

All very sad.

And this, in my mind, is one of the greatest dangers of religious belief: it allows the average person to support extreme action.

I think people did see it coming, and now we can probably expect some further retaliation from the other side.

As for pictures of Muhammad, it doesn't always seem to lead to violence though. After the Charlie Hebdo murders, someone in Texas organized a Muhammad cartoon drawing contest and was practically daring the Muslims to try something, but they never did. Or others might burn the Quran and say "Come and get us, Muslims!" A lot of people are spoiling for a fight.

When I was a Muslim, some non-Muslim friends of mine not only showed me satiric pictures of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W., but also showed me videos and pictures of burning and desecration of the Holy Qur'an, and some videos staring porn-actress Valery Vita desecrating The Holy Qur'an. I laughed out loud [literally] at the pictures of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W., wasn't even slightly bothered by the videos and pictures of what they did with the Qur'an, and erm ... got off to Valery Vita's antics and became a big fan of her, all thanks to them.

I don't know why non-Muslims thinks that just because you hold Islamic beliefs, you'd prone to violence towards such things. There are over a billion of Muslims, and how many of them committing terrorism? A very few percentage.

Like I said before, it's not the original teachings of the Qur'an that is at fault. Muslims and their ignorance and arrogance are at fault. I don't think many realize just how illiterate the Muslim world is and just how self-conceited they are, especially about their opinions regarding spirituality.

Let me give you an example: I hate to bring my personal life but due to the necessity of making my point clear and for the sake of emphasis, I have to. Anyway, these days I am doing some courses on certain skill development to start a new career [which, btw, is why I am not able to reply to TagliatelliMonster, Shadow Wolf and others during discussion and not able to take part in the forum discussion in general (I busy as hell nowadays)]. So, my instructor believes that there is no Coronavirus, and this pandemic is just a massive conspiracy by the Jews [for God knows what reason]. I was staring at him with shock. Just how bigot can you get? Are you trying to tell me that millions of who died due to the disease and millions who suffered because of it, and the economic armageddon which resulted because of Coronavirus ... is just a lie and deception? Just how the hell can Jews pull off a conspiracy THIS big? And how did they managed to get enemies like Iran to play part in this conspiracy [who also suffered severe damage]? Why would Israel cause so much harm to ITSELF in order to pull it off? That is the most ignorant thing to believe.

Now, Muslims around the world thinks the same about 9/11 [Jews did it], and most of the wars and other problems in the world [Jews did it]. Hell, some even deny Holocaust! And they are so self-conceited that any opposing evidence is positively discarded and/or twisted to fit their faulty narrative. I have been even labeled a Zionist when I spoke out against their believes about Jews, 9/11 etc!

This is the level of ignorance and arrogance that is rampant in the Muslim world. You have to realize, it's not the Islam and Qur'an at the fault here, but rather their own ignorance.

Their beliefs are mostly the result of their own ignorance [about the Qur'an and Islam], their arrogance, and to further add fuel to fire, the Western barbarity that has torn the Muslim world apart. Their bitterness over what has happened to them and Muslims in general is fueling their faulty belief system. I personally feel like that terrorism would have happened even if the Qur'an and it's instruction never existed in the first place. When you are under influence of negative emotions like anger and vengeance and bitterness etc., and devoid of knowledge of what the truth is and what is the right thing to do, and have a massive superior complex --- You are bound to cause harm.

Like I always say --- Ignorance and arrogance breeds destruction [not Qur'an etc.]

Sounds like you're blaming the victim for showing the drawings. Why should the West have to change our values to appease some hateful people who shouldn't be here in the first place? It's quite ironic that the killer is Chechyan. They should just send him back there and let the Russians deal with him. They aren't effected by our terrified PC culture over there and don't mess around.

With the recent anti-gay purges in Chechnya, not hard to opine they're not terrified of PC culture because bigotry is just as baked into theirs. Not the solution I'm looking for.

You misunderstood me, my brother. My attention here was directed solely towards one set of individuals [i.e. cruel individuals]. Just because I was talking about them in that instance doesn't mean I am excluding the other type. Which is why I said that this incident backed up my claim "in a way" [by "in a way", I meant to some extend, otherwise I wouldn't have added that and/or added "all the way" backs up my claim. That's all or nothing fallacy.

Many people who aren't necessary bullies, psychopaths, sociopaths, trouble-makers are capable of doing severe damage out of ignorance and arrogance [as I pointed out earlier and in the previous thread about teacher getting beheaded]. But that's due to gullibility, stupidity, bigotry, illiteracy, poverty and such other factors. Hell, we have extremely messed up traditions here done out of sheer ignorance [not out of sadism].

And brother, you are talking about people who just endorsing it rather than actually doing it. I was specifically talking about people who actually carry out such evils. While endorsing such things is sure downright unacceptable, it's no way near than actually going out of the way and doing it.

It seems to me your statements are underestimating the power that deeply held beliefs can have on an individual's values and actions. Often enough, cruel actions aren't endorsed exclusively by cruel people; they're also endorsed by many good people with some cruel beliefs.

Indeed, sir. My apologies for not being clear enough. I am just all swarmed up with countless personal business and just wrote that in a haste, so perhaps I wasn't clear enough.

My first post here was something like this, my brother --- "Ignorance and arrogance usually breeds destruction." Now, not all those who are ignorant and arrogant are necessarily cruel and sadistic, aren't they? I talked in detail about damage done by Muslims [and others] out of sheer ignorance and stupidity. That was never my point.

I am just too busy atm but I'd love to talk about this with you, TagliatelliMonster, Shadow Wolf and others regarding this topic. Please give me some time, my brothers and sisters [in humanity].

What I'm saying is that the Russians aren't afraid to be seen as harsh, whereas you have many in the West blaming the victims of Islamist terrorism and bending over backwards to try and appease the jihadists (like thinking it should be prohibited to draw pics of Muhammad, when we have no problem constantly blaspheming the Trinity, Jesus and Mary in far more obscene ways and that is our own cultural heritage). I have seen this multiple times on this forum. There's a certain spinelessness that is very popular in the West today, especially in Europe.
