Personal Views: The Trinity

The Trinity is allegedly pre-supposed in the NT, even though it is never explicitly stated. The passage that implies this presupposition is Jesus' naming of God with three entities "of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit". Apparently by this verbage we're supposed to conclude that they are all one.

I've also heard it argued that from the OT, we're supposed to believe that "Elohim", apparently being a plural word to name god, is a foreshadowing of the concept of the Trinity.

THe bible talks of other "gods" just not the ones that people seem to hink of.

It talk of the false "gods" and it also mentions that fact that jesus "was A god" plus satan is referred to as "the god of this system of things" plus we then have the Almighty God Jehovah.

So to take all this in. the word god does not mean what quite a few people think it means. It is a title, not a name. like KING, RULER, that is its meaning. Its a title. not a name.

The trinity is not explicitly stated because it is simply not true.
