Don't know who he is. Is he a tin foil hat type?

Yep. The deep state is covering everything up and the world is run by Satanic cults.

It's difficult to say how much he personally believes in the conspiracy theories he peddles though. It might just be a way for him to sell overpriced nutritional supplements.

The climate has utterly changed, and is totally different than what it used to be twenty years ago.

There has recently been an enormous heatwave where I live, which got me thinking...

Is there such a thing as global warming?

And if so, is it due to humans?

I don't know any of the facts and if I did I wouldn't know how to interpret them

Question: What should I believe, if I want to be right?

I have made a poll, but if you vote in it please explain how you voted!

And if you can, please cite an authoritative source or sources
A very good if simple explanation of global warming effect.

At least he's willing to demonstrate how effective his diet supplements are:

There isn't even any real controversy there. The people who actually have the means to gauge such things have been plenty clear enough.

What does exist is a lot of political desire to deny the reality.

Any extreme heat wave or high temperature of one year is a weather issue and not evidence of Global Warming in and of itself. It is the trends of weather over time that is documented as a witness to climate Global Warming. The evidence is overwhelming that human influence is the cause of Global Warming since about the time of the Industrial Revolution

Human awareness of Global Warming is like the wisdom story of the frog in the pot of water. The frog does not realize the danger of the small changes in temperature as the pot is heated until the pot boils and the frog is dead,

One rather contorted religious view is: 'If Global Warming is real God must cause it. Humans cannot change the world God designed and Created.

As a quick experiment, I just googled "climate change isn't happening" and "climate change hoax." I still got bombarded with facts!
Facts? Or ideas that are designed to control how you live?
Of course the internet is overwhelmingly biased towards certain agendas.

Is it an algorithm thing? Would google bring up more climate change denial websites if my search history included more Alex Jones?

If you google Aliens live among us, or Literal Biblical Creationism you will be bombarded, but not by objectively verifiable facts supported by science. You will get selective dishonest use of selected observation to justify a dishonest agenda.

Claim of this article
To be clear: The balance of evidence shows that climate change is real, and human activity contributes significantly to it. But the evidence also shows that it’s not remotely apocalyptic: Humanity will be in far better shape by the end of the century even if the world does nothing more to reduce carbon emissions.
Actual fact based on best understood science:- If nothing more is done to reduce carbon emissions, human civilization as we know will be extremely damaged by 2100 (4-5 C temperature rise) and will be devastated by 2300.

https://phys.org/news/2018-08-trillion-lost-temperatures-degrees.html
The estimated damages from not complying with the Paris Accord are severe. At 4 degrees Celsius of global warming, for example, the losses in income to the global economy are over US$23 trillion per year, or the equivalent in economic damage of three or four 2008 Global Financial Crises each year.....Global losses of this size are comparable to the Great Depression of the 1930s, with its global fall in GDP of 15 per cent, except these will occur year after year, with no way for effective redress.

And it will hit the poorer near-tropical countries the hardest

Losses, for example, at 4 degrees Celsius, for Cambodia, Sri Lanka, and Nicaragua are over 17 per cent, for Indonesia 19 per cent, for India 14 per cent, Thailand 17 per cent, Singapore 16 per cent, and the Philippines 20 per cent. For much of Africa the losses range from 18 to over 26 per cent of GDP.
