There has recently been an enormous heatwave where I live, which got me thinking...

Is there such a thing as global warming?

And if so, is it due to humans?

I don't know any of the facts and if I did I wouldn't know how to interpret them

Question: What should I believe, if I want to be right?

I have made a poll, but if you vote in it please explain how you voted!

And if you can, please cite an authoritative source or sources

We see ourselves as separate from nature, so we don't tend to try to work with it to benefit it and the living creatures.

Instead of a Gish Gallop would you care to try to make your claims properly? That means one at a time and supported with science that is based upon proper peer review.

The fact is though, that there is abundant information which demonstrates that “climate change” is being used to further political goals, which anyone can see if a little reading and research is done. There is no doubt the climate changes. You can post the peer reviewed papers, if you like. The Bible is explicit that there will be dramatic climatic changes at the end of the age.

My post might not have been clear on this one. When I said I was bombarded by facts, I was referring to Google bringing up pages of websites refuting the claims of climate change deniers.

I don't know if this is a result of Google attempting to tailor its content to me based on my search history. Would somebody who frequents websites that promote climate change denial get different results?

No, it seriously is not. You are making the error of reinterpreting it after the fact. All sorts of religions do the same thing. It is not very impressive at all. This is also why there have always been predictions that the end is near ever since the birth of Christianity with some attaching dates to the event. When it comes to the end times the Bible is notoriously unreliable since you have to count all of the failed predictions as well.
