I think America's propensity for materialism and hedonism matched with a lack of serious study and true compassion for others are our main enemies. As Pogo said: "I have seen the enemy, and it is us!".
Even if it keeps going, I’m afraid it’s too little too late. The first primaries are around the corner.

But the election is nearly a year away. Plus, we don't know what decisions the courts may render.
However, with that being said, we are seeing a rising cesspool, so how long can we hold our breath? If one ever wondered how previous fascists were elected, we are seeing it in progress here, and 2024 could maybe be the nastiest year since the Civil War.
At some level I have this feeling that Trump supporters are bluffing. If an of these people get violent, and Trump doesn't win, the are in trouble. Are the willing to risk it after seeing what happened to all the Jan 6 rioters? I'm hearing how Trump rallies are not getting the numbers the used to, and many attendies are bored, and leave before it ends. Trump doesn't have much in the way of policies, he never did, so all he has is the same old song and dance, and it's getting old.
I have a feeling that Liz Cheney, and other old school republicans will start working against Trump as the primaries approach. It's hard to predict since the election is decided by only 4 or 5 swing states, but mapbe enough people will sway enough votesr against Trump.
Honestly, I think it's all of the above.Seems that a Washington Post-ABC poll indicates that Biden is falling behind. Is this due to the economy, border, crime, and Biden's semmingly lack of menta acuity, or is just another meaningless poll?

Money is on Trump.If Trump were in power people would vote for Biden.Fact is our parents could afford a house and a nice car even on low salaries.This is now a decreasing option.So people will opt for change even if neither side can deliver jobs due to cheaper wages abroad.Money talks and Trump will have backers in USA as well as Eastern Europe.This will pay for social media and advertising that will make the candidate in a close finish.Seems that a Washington Post-ABC poll indicates that Biden is falling behind. The irony is that things economically have gradually improved under Biden but he's not getting much credit for that. Seems that in general so many are just in a pissy mood, and if it leads to a Trump victory, this country will just have screwed itself.

It is pretty early to be predicting the election. Trump may not have time to run if the courts schedule him a specific way.

The problem is most people are not fully into politics. The majority are too busy struggling, more, to make a living and feed the family. The Democrats run educational system added to this middle class pain by luring millions of students into huge debt. This has added extra stress to young people, on top of the inflation. These colleges have all their money, but are not required to change or do anything. The students are waking up to the double cross; Democrats run schools paid Democrats politicians to lure the students into debt who should have been warned and not lured.
The high prices of food, home goods and energy are impacting the middle and lower middle classes, even if the rich are doing fine to shift some of the parameters in Biden's favor. There are not enough rich votes to offset the millions of middle and lower middle class votes who are struggling under Biden; from both parties. The inflation was caused by too much borrowing and spending, with the interest rate having to go up to cool the inflation, with housing now getting too expensive, unless you are rich. Biden made a mess.
The Green energy push, by not just promoting green energy as an useful extra, but by trying to harm classic fossil fuel based energy, has this Fascist stink, that created a struggling economy for the middle class. Everything still depends more on fossil fuel. It would have been better for the Democrats to introduce green energy in a more Democratic and free market way; live and let live; since democracy is about choice and not top down forced conformity. Forced conformity is more Fascist flavored, with most Americans not that way and that tactic tasting nasty.
Forcing young students in public schools to conform to a Liberal defined entitled transgender 2% minority, at the expense of the 98% majority, was not Democratic, but also Fascist. There was never a vote. Parents were considered domestic terrorists for not conforming to the Fascist regime, which then showed it would use the power of Government to take away liberties; censorship, FBI persecution, and even punish adversaries with legal system biased persecution. That is all Fascism 1.0.
This is making Biden look like a Fascist, and Trump like a victim, even if the Left is trying to redefine what democracy and fascism is, projecting their fascist tendencies onto Trump. The struggling middle class believes their eyes more than fake news and the propaganda mill. We all wonder why nobody from the Summer of 2020 riots were punished, including leadership, while the Capital attack jailed people wholesale. Trump's home was raided for classified documents he had for a couple of years while Biden was not raided for documents he had for a decade. We all can see the real Fascist, even with the smoke.

But once people began to stress, making a living, voter priorities change away from the lures of Fascism, which do much better during prosperity. Everyone has heard of the Biden Family influence peddling business and the 20 shell companies. The Left is being disingenuous saying this is all debunked. Their fear is so many people were part of so many instances of government corruption and injustice, if one domino falls, the entire Domino puzzle will fall. The Biden family business in Ukraine, overlaps the first Trump impeachment and now looks like the first Trump impeachment was a Democrat conspiracy to help Biden escape justice, while overthrowing a duly elected President under false pretenses. Heads will roll if Biden goes down and will cascade from there.
Trump is threatening to take the swamp down and is being called unhinged. But if you think about it, after the Swamp and Democrats Russian Collusion Coup failed, Trump was merciful and he did not get even by using Government to persecute the treason. He wanted to put that all behind us and move forward. But did the Democrats repent and apologize? No. The mercy shown, only emboldened them, to get even worse with their power and government resources. This time Trump will have no choice, since the rapid dog does not understand how mercy works. The rapid dog will get even worse, than now, if not put down. Trump is not dumb enough to forgive again, and expect them not to bite him worse, in or out of office. There will require tough love for the rabbit dog. It will be quick. Then the nation can heal.

He does indeed seem to be ahead of everyone, I don't know why people would go back to him. But we do have 11 months a head of us, time, so hopefully long enough to have pther events like Trump being locked up or bound up in court. I can learn to live with anything but I don't want trump to win.
