Presidential Predictions

World's Tallest Hobbit
I'm volunteering at the polls tomorrow, taking exit poll-thingies. (Hopefully will get the technical details when I arrive.) My mom and I are telling each other that at least, that way, if the fellow we're not rooting for does win, at least we'll have put forth an effort.

You know what? I'd take that bet too, Spinkles. I think Bush has a much better chance than you're giving him credit for here.

I think if Bush is re-elected it will be the beginning of the end of freedom as we know it in this country, (think Patriot Act, but worse).

I think if Bush is re-elected, our country and the world will become further polarized and divided, and we've only seen the beginning of the wars and death.

I think if Bush is re-elected and the marriage amendment passes, conservative Christians will have gained a political edge and will not stop with this at forcing their religion on the whole country, this is only the beginning, folks.

I think if Bush is re-elected than I shall become morbidly ill and probably die, and no amount of frubals could cure me. :(

George W. Bush and his policies frighten me to the core, and I don't frighten easliy.

Thanks Ceri. I'm not trying to debate, I've just got so many thoughts running through my head tonight.... I don't know... maybe I should just leave the country if he's re-elected, I don't want to be under his "rule" any longer...

......I really shouldn't have had that last cup of coffee........

Think about what happened when Nixon won that ill-fated second term.....impeachment. Even if Bush wins again, I don't know if he'll be able to last - even a bottom feeder such as himself couldn't survive for long in all the detrius he's created for this country.... I['m going to go and vote now.

I hope so, but if the high turn-out is merely in protest against Bush, then why are the polls so close?

I don`t know.

I was counting on the possibility that the large group of newly registered are not being accounted for in the polls.

I can`t find any info anywhere to either support my hope or dash it.

Isn't it funny how forums habitated by intellectuals tend to be so anti-republican in general? I just voted for Kerry at 10 am this morning ..cst time....

I just got back from the voting machine - what a crowd! I love seeing people vote. I'd like to see 'em require voting to get your driver's license.

PS - GO KERRY!!

I heard a great line on the radio, while driving over to the polling station. A guy on one of the right wing radio talk shows was telling people that a new system was in place for the election this year - "Republicans were supposed to vote today (Tuesday) and the Democrats were supposed to vote tomorrow (Wednesday) to alleviate the crowded lines at the polls".

I laughed, but I'm hoping there aren't any people misled by this. Then again, if you mistake this comedy for truth, you probably shouldn't be voting anyway.

I voted for the big douche this morning, I`ve had enough turd sandwich for a lifetime.

My precinct polling station had a 15 minute wait at 10 AM.
I went to vote in the middle of the week at the main station and turned back because of the 3 hour line for the early voting.
