- left-of-centre parties (that also happen to support pandemic public health measures): 60.4% (Liberals, NDP, Green, BQ)
- right-of-centre parties (that also happen to oppose pandemic public health measures): 38.6% (PCP, PPC)

This is the exact reason why Christian conservative Trump supporters don't have the moral ground to stand on whenever they start pointing a sanctimonious judgmental finger at Joe Biden and other Democrats for their lack of character and moral flaws. It seems to be lost on them that they're outright hypocrites for piously judging Biden after they sent more than five years stubbornly defending Trump and trying to justify their support of him with excuses like "I voted for a president, not a pastor." They have lost all of their moral credibility, and no one should take their virtue-signaling and bellyaching seriously. If morality truly mattered to these conservatives, then they wouldn't support Trump or any of the other lowlife backstabbing Republican politicians in Congress.

When a Trump supporter seems to be acting like a hypocrite, I remember this phrase:

Fascism seeks to maintain power regardless of political norms.

... and then their position suddenly becomes remarkably consistent.

Amen, brother. Even when he first started campaigning for the 2016 election it was obvious that he was repugnant and self-centered.

If we ever wondered how the fascist leaders came to power in 20th century Europe, we've seen an example of that here in the States, which is also why so many Pubs have left the party or distanced themselves from Trump, including some that not only supported him but also served as his appointees.

True, but voting is the normal way of replacing a politician. Wanting him to resign over something only a small number of Canadians seem opposed to begin with and it's really comes off as a childish tantrum. The game is being lost, so the child wants to flip the board over.

The problem with voting is that voters generally
aren't united to materially change anything.
So people mistakenly believe that voting has no
value...all is run by the oligarchy or deep state.
Voting is useful...but one shouldn't expect to
