Do it. Prove to us how pro rights, pro freedom, pro equality, etc. the evangelical party actually is.Maybe we should get a tally made and line it up side by side and see who wins the prize on who is actually more oppressive of individual rights and liberties.
How about you stop pretending that the Republicans are champions of individual rights and freedoms?
Realize that neither wing of the Republocratic party are interested in that sort of claptrap once they've gotten elected and can do what they were bribed to do?
Tom

Nice counterpoint.no ,no its not
I can well imagine that wealthier white straight guys would think so.Well not perfect in some areas, they are far more the champions of individual rights and freedoms than the socialist Democrats are, and likely ever will be.
What's pretty damn sad is using actual political bills that have potential real-world repercussions.Oh.
Oh wow.
You're still under the impression that it was a serious bill they actually intended to pass and enforce?
That's pretty damn sad.
Again, provide us with that tally. While not perfect in some areas, they are far more the champions of individual rights and freedoms than the socialist Democrats are, and likely ever will be.
I can well imagine that wealthier white straight guys would think so.
The rest of us, not so much.
That's probably why there are so many more Democrats than Republicans.
Tom
Not really it's just going to take some time to put it together. Feel free to add into that as well yourself. The Nanny State environment is pretty vast territory.Again, provide us with that tally.
You're probably hesitant because you know that you've painted yourself into a corner.
Republicans are known for saying I can take a back seat a be a second class citizen and not fully entitled like Conservative Christians.Maybe we should get a tally made and line it up side by side and see who wins the prize on who is actually more oppressive of individual rights and liberties.
This thread is about some show boating in Alabama. While not perfect in some areas, they are far more the champions of individual rights and freedoms than the socialist Democrats are, and likely ever will be.
Those who align themselves with evangelicals and their theocratic agenda are in no position to lecture others about freedom. Not really it's just going to take some time to put it together. Feel free to add into that as well yourself. The Nanny State environment is pretty vast territory.
In the meantime....
What Liberals Don’t Understand About Freedom
Nice rejoinder.Nice counterpoint.
Exactly.
Republicans are all about big government when it's used to control people. Democrats are about big government helping people.
Yes.
What problem?
OK then, What's your problem?
Not unless it's the freedom to discriminate and the "freedom" to go bankrupt when you get seriously ill, or just die from it.Those who align themselves with evangelicals and their theocratic agenda are in no position to lecture others about freedom.
Oh, yeah, BTW, in "nany socialist iron fisted" blue California, when I got my driver's license picture taken here they let me wear my glasses, and they also let me smile. Indiana allows neither. While not perfect in some areas, they are far more the champions of individual rights and freedoms than the socialist Democrats are, and likely ever will be.
