Question for luciferians and the like

paradox

Maybe not convert, but explain that you believe they're wrong, and why they're wrong, and all their mistakes, etc, etc.
I didn't want discussion to go into a silly direction.

Something that you don't believe is Satan, you mean.
Satan which I believe is quite powerful, it is able to be transform itself into a Jesus:
2 Corinthians 11:14

So if you guys see Jesus don't believe, first ask yourself, was that Jesus or Satan.

All you need is love.
I met a woman in a bookstore once who, based on the book section we were both in, started conversing with me. It appeared we had a common interest in world religion. She said she'd like to continue talking later, and she had a book to send me. She'd set up a time to talk then. I gave her my address, and said I'd look forward to hearing from her.

I did receive a book in the mail. A book that explained in great detail, what each of the world' populous religions were, and even many of the not as populous ones, and how they were all the work of the devil. There was also a handwritten note, inviting me to contact her so we could discuss saving my soul.

This conversation seems kind of like that. Lets fool LHP folks into joining this conversation, so we can trap 'em in here with fake interest, and then tell 'em how they're all wrong and try to get 'em to 'Yahweh'!

What you described seems like a dishonest and deceptive evangelical tactic to me. It's like she was trying to trick you into converting.

Maybe if you want to hear specific things, write out a list of questions, and refrain from placing judgement on the answers you receive? Not everything will always line up with your worldview.

I don't think of either Jesus or Satan, actually. Those two aren't relevant to me.

What you described seems like a dishonest and deceptive evangelical tactic to me. It's like she was trying to trick you into converting.

Yeah, she was. It didn't work, of course, and I didn't contact her. It was just really disappointing, because I thought maybe I'd have a new person to talk to.

It can be hard to find folks to talk to when your main interest is world religion.

While discussing the beliefs of others, please be mindful of Rule 8:

8. Preaching/Proselytizing
Creating (or linking to) content intended to convert/recruit others to your religion, spirituality, sect/denomination, or lack thereof is not permitted. Similarly, attempting to convert others away from their religion, spiritual convictions, or sect/denomination will also be considered a form of preaching. Stating opinions as a definitive matter of fact (i.e., without "I believe/feel/think" language, and/or without references) may be moderated as preaching.

The Hebrew term śāṭān (Hebrew: שָׂטָן) is a generic noun meaning "accuser" or "adversary",[7][8] and is derived from a verb meaning primarily "to obstruct, oppose"
Satan - Wikipedia
That's what I said. The Hebrew Satan is one character, the Christian Satan is something entirely different. There is no devil in Judaism, but Christians made one out of one of Yahweh's most obedient and loyal angels.

I'm glad you get it.
Obviously my Satan is way too evil for anyone to admit to be worshiping it.

I really don't believe how deliberately ignorant some people can be.

Your satan is a good guy compared to the murders your god has said to have committed, i simply cannot understand how you cannot see that.

The christian idea of the evil, fiery torture in hell is a 13/14 century idea. The bible only describes him as a tempter, what is so evil about temping somone?

So disingenuous. It's like they can't just come out and say it, like if they were to knock on your door during dinner.

The underlining point of my post was that most Christians love to insist that Christianity is the only true religion in the world, but they can't even agree with each other on Bible interpretation, whether someone's eternal salvation is conditional or not, whether baptism is a requirement of salvation or not, and how a person should be properly baptized. And the list of their divisions and dissension goes on. It's truly laughable that Christians want other people to accept Christianity as the only true religion when they can't even decide among themselves which Christian doctrines and dogmas are right and what the Bible actually teaches about different subjects.

I'm Christianer than you are! They spend way too much time fighting with others and each other to be fishers of men.
