Racial Hatred

I wondered about that when so man reports in the news
of the Oakland area didn't mention race of the assailants.
A little digging turned up the problem you pointed out.
Beware impressions created by news media.
It's a problem in NYC too.

So you agree that they are trashy ghetto blacks and that is it? Or something else? :)

I don't think "trashy" or "ghetto" are issues.
But there does appear to be animosity.
I'm guessing it relates to the perceptions of
success & the "model minority" stereotype.
It's not everywhere (in my observations).

Over the last month, there's been gunfire multiple times at one of the malls here. The first time it happened, the news said the cops have suspects they're looking for. But it took them over a week to finally show pictures of the suspects. Yes, they were black. I had already guessed that. (Hoodrats going out to the malls in the wealthy suburbs to cause trouble and generally act out is very common and has been going on for years. And whoever wants to judge me for being blunt over what type of people these are, can buzz off. You don't live here and don't know my experiences and what I'm talking about.)

Yeah, that is relevant to be critical of the media. But why did you choose a problematic word as the one I bolded?

Because that's what they are. I cannot stand those sorts of people and they've caused me and my loved ones a lot of harm over the years, so I'm not going to be "nice" about them. If that bothers you, that's too bad, but that's how it is.

It's not just race. If a conservative white-skinned colour conscious person had a black Republican as one neighbour and a democrat white-skinned as another neighbour, which neighbour would he ask for help?

Aye, it's interesting that in the news there's often
no mention (eg, NPR) that a couple white gals
were killed. They don't even deserve a mention.

Consider this wrongful shooting....
Kiowa police shooting: Zach Gifford killed in traffic stop, shot 3 times in back
There's no mention of race because the victim
was white.
But elsewhere in the same state....
The Latest: Autopsy: Man shot 3 times in back by police
Race is prominently stated because the victim
was black.

The media are creating the impression that police
thuggery is only a problem with white cops &
black victims. It's so much larger.

I have been getting a bit irritated at the media for trying to claim that this was a crime motivated by race. It was a crime motivated by a hatred of prostitutes that the man regularly used. In the U.S. the massage parlor industry, especially the seedier aspect of it, tends to be one that involves Asian women. In western Europe the equivalent would have resulted in the deaths of eastern European women. It still should be classified as a hate crime, but perhaps not since prostitutes do not appear to be a protected group. It is also much harder to drum up outrage over the deaths of prostitutes.

I would not go as far as the video went, but there is a problem when they cannot deal with a problem properly. If prostitution of that sort was mainly a white industry the victims would have been mostly white. If the industry relied on black people the victims would have been mostly black.

And how do I know so much about the industry? There used to be that sort of business across from my store. They mostly kept to themselves, but I did get irate if a customer used my parking lot. I had no idea how many such places there were until one opened up that close to me. Any decent sized city is going to have quite a few such providers. It is a basic human need and providers of these services will exist regardless of attempts to stifle them.

Racism has long been considered by many as America's "original sin", so it should be of no surprise that periodically it raises its ugly head, and Trump did a "marvelous" job in doing as such, However, he was certainly not alone as this permeates much of today's Republican Party.

Proof: around 250 voter suppression laws proposed by "red" legislatures aimed at suppressing the non-white and youth vote. Even one of the GOP's lawyers unapologetically admitted that this is the tactic.

Clearly it's some sort of anti-racist agenda at work. Possibly a grand cabal.
If push comes to shove, perhaps even a globalist network.

I've been known to partake in some globalist networking myself, but personally I draw a line at secret cabals. I just don't look good in a cape.

I agree, police brutality is a sickness that needs to be combated on all fronts. Some who consider it acceptable if police brutalizes "ghetto thugs" may even have an agenda of downplaying the violence and oppression of the statist police force.

Of course. If we dismiss the idea that racist agendas exist, we can't accept the existence of an anti-racist agenda, either.
There is no doubt that racism exists and that it is a real problem. Unfortunately the news media sometimes takes an action that was not based upon race and tries to put a racist motivation behind it. Pointing that out is not denying racism, it is complaining about the abuse of the existence of racism.

Do you have any concrete examples of this?
