Loving God and my neighbor as myself.
The person who inspired it is the reason to trust it. If you trust Him then you will trust His word and gain perspective on the details that bug you. Also the untrustworthiness of the people whose worldviews you merely echo in your objections is a reason to turn away from them.
What solid reasons do you have for believing that God "inspired" the Bible. (Please also include a definition of what you mean by inspired.)

But that's not what happens at all. No one actually hears God's voice, so God is not dictating, as to a secretary. The Bible is written by men, men who tried very hard to determine what God wanted, but fallible men who sometimes made errors.
Sometimes?

I believe it works for me by revealing things I shouldn't do.
Yet god permitted others to do those things.

God (as depicted in the bible) permitted the heinous abuse and subjugation of innocent victims, yet arbitrarily prohibited love between consenting adults of the same sex.

What a disgusting little sky goblin.

Really, do they have more than two brain cells combined? I don't think so.
The Bible itself shows that there is more than two brain cells involved.
Jesus based his teachings on the old Hebrew Scriptures by using logical reasoning on them.
The Bible tells us how God and Jesus will accomplish Peace on Earth - Isaiah 11:3-4; Rev. 19:14-15
Jesus' followers have the privilege to tell others as Jesus instructed at Matthew 24:14; Acts 1:8.
And to live a life style of loving others as Jesus taught at John 13:34-35 to love others as he did. Love them to death if necessary.
So, keep Awake! because once the powers in charge are saying, " Peace and Security....." that rosy saying can lead people down that Primrose Path of a false security. - 1st Thess. 5:2-3

What is Not true about Luke 21:11
Is that the only part of the bible you think is true?

I see a bunch of ordinary predictions
that could have listed with maybe 50 words

I'm curious of your opinion on the merits of being self-reliant rather than waiting for someone/something else to save us?
Is anyone really saved who is not self-reliant, who is dependent?
The future holds endless possibilities - Jeremiah 29:11
Happiness - No more sickness and death - 1st Cor. 15:24-26; Isaiah 25:8
Hope - Hold on Pain Ends - Isaiah chapter 35
Health - No one will say, " I am sick....: - Isaiah 33:24
Healing - for earth's nations - Rev. 22:2
Heaven is above us but Paradise is coming here on Earth - ( aka return of Eden )
All this will start at Jesus' coming Glory Time - Matthew 25:31-34,37

We can't save (deliver / rescue) oneself or another from sin and death .
Just as we can't resurrect oneself or another, so we need someone who can do that for us - Jesus can and will - Rev. 1:18

Luke 21:32; Mark 13:30; Matthew 24:34 only had an initial or minor fulfullment in the 1st Century ( year 70 when unfaithful Jerusalem was destroyed )
The MAJOR fullfillment is for our day our time frame - Rev. 1:10

They did Not have to hear God's voice because God used His holy spirit - Psalm 104:30 - to convey His message.
The Bible is chock full of corresponding cross-reference verses and passages showing the internal harmony among the many Bible writers.
Jesus used the old Hebrew Scriptures as the basis for his teachings.
Jesus often quoted or referred to the OT by his logical reasoning on them.
