Is this about colostomies?
I really like ellipses.
They're easy on the eyes...& useful!
Yeah, I like ellipses too ... it gives the appearance that you're actually putting a great deal of thought into your posts.

Well iam mute. Thats rather uncommon.
Really?
OK DS, analyze me. I use commas and dashes all over the place.
I am my office's pull-up champion.
I dunno, most guys in the office are falling short on this.
Uh yeah.
That's pretty awesome! I don't know anyone in person that can do 28. That's with good form, palms facing away from you on the bar? If so, that's really good. How many can you do? (my all-time high was 28)
Based on what I've seen, these are the main things I've noticed that I generally identify your posts through:
You tend not to use commas to separate certain words/interjections from the rest of the sentence(s) they're in, although commas would normally be used after them (strictly speaking). For example:
A lot of people do the same thing, but from what I've seen, their spelling and grammar tend to have a lot of mistakes. Your posts don't seem that way to me, though, so the lack of commas after the introductory interjections/words combined with the relatively polished grammar and spelling is one of the things I identify your posts through.
Sometimes you use commas where they wouldn't normally be used (again, strictly speaking ). For example:
You use hyphens to perform the same function as em dashes and seem to always leave a space after but not before them:
I could be wrong, but I generally get the impression that your posts are written in a way so as to express thoughts in "real time" as opposed to being prepared in advance, if that makes sense. Your use of commas seems to me to reflect this at times, as it appears to indicate mid-speech pauses as if the written material were being spoken by someone.
By the way, apologies if I sounded pedantic above, since I admittedly think I might perceive what I said above as such if it were posted by someone else. Then again, maybe it doesn't sound that way at all and this is just me overly analyzing things again.

My all-time high is 20, which was my number to win the office record. Some of the guys there that work out a lot can do in the high teens, but they're bigger than me and so they have to lift almost twice as much weight and don't seem to have the proportional strength to do 20.
Some of the programmers can't do any, and the other women in the office haven't been able to do many. An engineering office might not be the most fit group.
There's an older guy at the office who I suspect can do more than 20 but he does not participate in the office pull-up contest.

I eat bread plain, too. I prefer it that way, although I will put butter on it, particularly when it's warm.- I like eating bread.. With nothing on it. Just bread.
- I'm a sleep moaner (Instead of talking or snoring, I just moan a lot)
- Whenever I write on something I always sign it with my signature, Always, no matter what. Even if it's just a post it or a reminder to myself, I still sign it.

What punctuation do I use that identifies my posts?

DS I'm sorry I started this! Please accept my humble apology.OMG, now do me! I'm dying of curiosity!
Yeah a 200 lb guy that works out every day and has the body of a model isn't thrilled about being our pull-up runner-up, right behind a thin girl.In high school, I had a very slender but muscular friend who could do a ton. We were all envious. The jocks didn't like it.
Sounds like you did them well then. Some people do chin-ups and call them pull-ups but they're a different exercise and people can usually do more of them than pull-ups. To do 28 pull-ups is certainly possible, but means you were quite strong. :yes:This was 20 years ago so I'm not 100% certain, but I'm pretty sure it was overhand (palms facing away) and as far as the form goes, I had people watching me on a cpl of occasions and no one ever cried foul so . . .
I'm curious to see how many I can do now. I'll get back to you.
Could you tell us a little more about that?
DS, your English skills are really amazing considering you're self taught.
