Relatively Uncommon Things About You

I sometimes listen to songs by Eminem/Slim Shady when I want to do something that requires focus (including discussing or debating certain subjects on RF).

I particularly like Lose Yourself and Not Afraid.

What are some relatively uncommon things about you, that is, things about your habits, hobbies, interests, etc., that differ from most people you know?

Here's a personal one to kick off the thread: I'm usually not interested in movies or TV shows at all. The last time I watched a full movie was nearly three years ago, and I don't even remember the last time I watched a TV show to its end.

I essentially have a zipper in my skull. Plus, I can spell the alphabet.

I should'a thought of posting this one earlier.

I have very flexible skin in my neck, & by tensing my muscles, I can make a human cobra.
It's true!
But no pix.

I'm unusual in that I am completely average in every way, other than my superior intelligence, striking good looks, and razor-sharp wit.

I like to scream at stupid people on TV. And on the street. And in traffic. And at work. And at church. And... my throat gets sore a lot.

Tourettes-lite?

Hey, how fast was your fast ball?
Not to brag, but I could get over 30mph when I was younger.

I know English, my third language, better than the official mother tongue I speak with my family.

I share DS's ability to recognize people based on their writing patterns, although I'm less meticulous about punctuation.

I wrote a novel over 1,500 pages pages long, by hand on A4 sized paper, between the ages 13 and 15.

I have never owned a television and am likely never to buy one.

I'm capable of performing in front of hundreds of people - and have multiple times - without feeling nervous, but I'm incapable of having a face-to-face conversation with a one person (other than my husband) without feeling highly uncomfortable.

I voluntarily read academic literature and factual books in favour of fiction.

I knew how to write my own Perl software at the age of 8.

My second front tooth is mostly plastic, a result from a cycling accident (read: plain stupidity) at the age of 12.

I spent 10 years building a treehouse. It was finished this spring.

I'm a very silent and reclusive person. However given the right triggers I'm known to give lectures on topics spanning from literature to ancient history to web programming that can easily go on for an hour if the audience is interested. The majority of people in my friend circle have never hit those triggers and fail to pick me into their team in quiz games, much to the amusement of those who know of it.

One of my testicles is shaped like a pyramid. The other looks like a swollen grapefruit that got stepped on by a cow. I find it hard to buy undies.
