thats the crux of the matter

he goes on about:

the bible saying blah blah
marriage is for heterosexuals
only hetero sexuals can produce children
marriage is there inherantly to produce children
homosexuals are sinners as they cannot produce kids, thus should not be married
homosexuals as they cannot produce children are sinners

not to mention comparing homosexuals to dogs, horses and various other non-human creatures

The irony being, he CAN'T HAVE CHILDREN

I said that because I was tempted to say something inappropriate and realized I better not. Who is more wrong? The question is irrelevant, sometimes we have to keep ourselves in check.

No, the crux of the matter is you wish me to remain quiet about my beliefs because they offend you. In the meantime, you expect social acceptance of your actions. I would say that amounts to hypocracy on your part.

Let me get this straight; you think slavery is OK as long as they are treated better then they were in the old south.

Well that is just, just terrible, that is really really awful. Slavery is not OK no matter how nice you are to the slaves.

No one's asking you to stay quiet about your beliefs. You're entitled to have them, and to follow them. What you're not entitled to do is to expect me to follow them or be bound by them, any more than I'm entitled to expect you to follow mine.

If you're not interested in debating your beliefs, you may be in the wrong forum. Disagreement is not censorship; it's the opposite.

I don't think anybody wants you to be silent about your beliefs. Personally, I prefer that you share your beliefs at every opportunity. It's only fair to give people fair warning what they're dealing with.

That only applied to Hebrew slaves.

It's funny how people who believe the Bible is the Word of God never seem to find the time to read it.

when your beliefs advocate hatred toward others, well it is your right to spew forth hate filled dogma, illogical, hypiocrictical. contradictory dogma....yep it is your right

sadly however your views advocate the discrimination of others..and essentially disallowing the rights of other citizens of your country.

I am not the one essentially expressing the views of a white supremacist. Have I lost my cool? yes..a bit..that is not good. This does not however detract from the fact that your views are hate filled, contradictory, hypocritical and are the very same views that have led to the death of millions.

I think my losing my temper slightly does not amount to a whole heap of beans compared to the views you have been expressign here and elsewhere....

frankly in my opinion people like you with such views make every religious person seem stupid, ignorant, irrational, hate filled and totally against everything Christ stood for.

But heck, its just MY opinion...no one elses.

I don't think anyone wishes you to remain quite about your beliefs, but rather that you would simply be honest about your beliefs. None of us have any illusions that there aren't a lot of homophobes out there - it would just be refreshing for one of them to be honest about their hatred of gays stemming from their homophobia.
