Cool, we both have something to celebrate that day. Here's wishing the best for your marriage.

John and I have scrapped the idea of Boston, and are now planning to get married in New Haven, Connecticut on Tuesday, 29 September (our 7th anniversary).

Our plans are incomplete, but we're operating on a shoestring, so there probably won't be any reception to speak of. However, B-cup has suggested, and I agree, that since we're going to New England anyway, it would be a good chance to meet up with RF members there.

If anybody's interested in coming to the wedding, or meeting up with a group of RFers either before or after, please let me know.
Congratulations! I live in CA, unfortunately... but I hope you are both very happy together.

Congratulations! I'm on the wrong side of the country or I'd try to make it. Best of luck with all the wedding plans.

It's a bit far for me to attend, but congrats, and I wish you both every happiness.

Thanks to everybody who offered congratulations.

I'm excited about the people who plan to attend. It would be great to meet you all in person.

Congratulations Bill! I would love to come, but as I'm in Iowa it's probably not feasible for us. Unless we saved up to go on a full vacation out towards seeing Tim's mom at the same time maybe. And I'd most likely have kids in tow as well and I'm not sure how you feel about little ones at your wedding. Might be a good idea to let people know in advance if babes and kids would be welcome. I know some people aren't big on having them at such occasions.

Well, I'd love to make it. I'm in Maryland, so it could be possible. Keep us updated on the plans, and I'll work towards making some time. Unfortunately, it's hard for me to say what my situation will be then, as I'm looking for a job now, and we're trying to buy a house this year, but I'm going to try to keep the date open.

I'm sorry, distance is a problem right now.

Congratulations!

Are you getting married at the courthouse? If so, what happens if about 20 of us show up? :D
We don't know. I'm favoring Lighthouse Point, but John's concerned it might be too cold, and we haven't lined up an officiant yet, so we probably won't get those details ironed out till we do. The number of guests allowed is something we'd have to check if we decided to do it at City Hall.

I need a date.

I know I've got the wrong plumbing, but if I could attend, I'd be honored to be your date.

I've never been to a gay wedding, though, and I wish Midnight nothing but the best in the days to come.

I can't believe that I've been around long enough to see that our culture has evolved from the dark ages, to where we can now see gay and lesbian couples openly marry.

Is this a great country, or what?

Now, if we can just get the rest of the states up to speed ...
