We don't know. I'm favoring Lighthouse Point, but John's concerned it might be too cold, and we haven't lined up an officiant yet, so we probably won't get those details ironed out till we do. The number of guests allowed is something we'd have to check if we decided to do it at City Hall.
That would be too cool.Hey, if Tim and I do end up making plans to vacation out that way (he's from NY state and his mother lives there) and we can come to the wedding...I'd marry the two of you .
I don't have any clear recollection of Connecticut. I've gone through it on the way from Massachusetts to New York City, but I don't remember anything about it. According to Wikipedia, the normal high for September is 73 and for October it's 62. Normal lows are 52 and 41. As long as we don't get freakishly cold weather -- the record low for October is 16 degrees -- I think we should be okay.Honestly, when it comes to the east coast, the only place I've been in that time of year is Florida and I don't personally count Florida as east...I count it south. So I have no idea about how cold it gets there in September. Does it usually get chilly? Still, an outdoor wedding, with the colors starting to turn, would be gorgeous.
I just checked the weather for New Haven too. Last year on September 29th it was 73 for the high. I think it would be fine. September is usually beautiful everywhere.I don't have any clear recollection of Connecticut. The FAQ I'm looking at says ordained clergy from any state can officiate, too.

I would love to meet you, Tim and your kids! And it was be soooooo cool if you could marry them!Well then, if we hammer out some sort of vacation around that time (his mother has never seen our children anyway and she'd love to have us come visit) I'll not only let you know, but I'll pack my ministry certificate just in case. How 'bout that?

An atheist and a Christian being married by a Wiccan priestess is not the kind of thing you see every day.I would love to meet you, Tim and your kids! And it was be soooooo cool if you could marry them!
Wow. I think we're going to have a much better wedding that we thought.Let me know some of yours and John's favorite songs.
I'll bring my keyboard.
(wedding ceremony and/or reception 'style')
Yep! And a place to get smashed and dance. I can definitely supply some of the booze.Clergy, entertainment, all we need is for mrscardero to bring one of her lovely cakes to life and the members of RF could throw this wedding completely. People to decorate, set up, everything...we got it handled

Well, I am flattered by your offer, TVOR. If we are both able to make it to the wedding, I promise we'll go have a beer together, deal?Green -
I know I've got the wrong plumbing, but if I could attend, I'd be honored to be your date.
I've never been to a gay wedding, though, and I wish Midnight nothing but the best in the days to come.
I can't believe that I've been around long enough to see that our culture has evolved from the dark ages, to where we can now see gay and lesbian couples openly marry.
Is this a great country, or what?
Now, if we can just get the rest of the states up to speed ...
