Right to Family and Care

"One in eight children in America live in households without consistent access to adequate food."

School lunch is often the only food children get.
This is true, but why is this disfunction still with us even after a 50 plus year war on poverty and $15trillion spent? Throwing money at it for 50 years did not work very well, with 1 in 8 children still hungry? This problem is still very common in Democrat run inner cities, who get Federal money to help, but end up money laundering it, among their cronies.

The most important family value; foundation for success, is having both the natural mother and natural father raising their own children. This is the only combination that can take advantage of natural instinct, to give both parents the extra energy, love and concern, needed to plow forward. There are exceptions to the rule, but one's own natural children are closest. It solves many problems that strangers cannot.

The rest are of the solutions, offered by government, are mostly band aids, due to not having the correct foundation. Law allows two unmarried people to cohabitate without loss of social benefits, but if you are two married people both with benefits you will be penalized. This is designed to screw up the foundation, so a huge social mop can be justified, with the Left thinking a bigger and bigger mop is the solution.

When the nuclear family was strong, through the 1950's, the welfare state was tiny and was done mostly via charity. Most women could stay home as homemakers and care for the children, with the father working. With most woman home, there was less demand for jobs, which led to better wages and more head of household employment. Family often included elderly grandparents living with you, which was good for the children. There was less social need for daycare or senior care, which now a big part of the social mop.

Once women started to leave the home and divorce became a valid alternative, society needed double the housing, with many women unable to stay home and/or work, without extra help with the children or costs. Costs also went up due to double the demand for housing, and the need for two complete households. Poverty came mostly to the women and children.

The Left created a lot pain to justify the welfare state, while acting like they are the solution to the problem they created. The Right is about nuclear family values; marriage and natural nuclear family, since it takes care of many social problems, without government. Abortion is an important issue connected to this foundation, since if women can be conned not to care for unborn children, her mother skills are deficient; good foundation is being further undermined.

Big overbearing government is what the Left prefers, which means poverty will forever remain a political tool, for power. The problem will never be solved, even in the next 50 years, unless we boot the Left off their leadership roles, that they have built for themselves, to act as overlords to their slaves and serfs.

The gender bending push is also not designed to help the natural father and mother foundation, since anything goes in terms of what gender/sex you can claim to be, including parent combinations that will not work, as expected. The Right, is for the classic nuclear family foundation, that can be shown to be the most efficient system; little need for Big brother. But the Left is addicted to Big Brother control, and will try to undermine any independence from its grip.

This entire discussion is similar to how free sex led to the rise in STD's. Sexually transmitted disease increases with lifestyles, that do not involve a monogamous natural male and natural female; foundation. Solving the problem is straight forward. However, the Left does not see look at the foundational problem, but only sees the surface; people suffering with disease, as though disease is the heart of the problem. In reality, that disease problem is connected to the loss of the natural foundation. This is another created problem, used to justify another government bureaucracy, that throws money at the affect, and not the cause. This is designed to build government, by not solving problems, while wasting money as though this alone, will work.

So basically it's entitlements that people are after.

I'm OK with that as long as it dosent put a burden on other people.
Right. Entitled to ban trans kids. Entitled to ban books. Entitled to limit reproductive healthcare. Entitled to arm more citizens so schools are more vulnerable to shooters. Entitled to cut taxes on the rich so school funding is cut, forcing more costs onto parents and families.

The 'good ol' days,' right? A real life Mayberry and all.

Poor working women have worked outside the home for centuries, or worked extra jobs like seamstressing within it in addition to caring for their 12 children with a washboard and a wood stove. Your ideal of a Mrs. Cleaver forgets that the Cleaver family was well-off, contextually. They could afford for her to stay home and fix dinner on her modern stove, wearing her pearls and heels.

Post WWII explosive suburban growth is what created the nuclear family as we know it today, as the small suburban houses that sprouted like weeds were only large enough for mom, dad, and kids. There wasn't room for extended family. I'd saved an article on the subject recently but can't find it. Here's a different but similar look at the nuclear family:

THE NUCLEAR FAMILY WAS A MISTAKE

The family structure we’ve held up as the cultural ideal for the past half century has been a catastrophe for many. It’s time to figure out better ways to live together.

Can I ask, and this might be a dumb question.

The US has compulsory Superannuation, right?
You guys might call it something different. Not sure

(Contributions made to employees’ retirement funds, done by employers.)
Nope. We are so advanced that we do not have that either. In most jobs people have to look out for themselves. Union jobs tend to have that, but as you know the Republicans are very anti-union. I think it is because they must be communistic.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Not necessarily. Problems shift, as does everything else.

Blaming "somebody", doesn't fix issues. It just makes big daddy twilight feel better.
No. It's just stating facts that there are causes and effects. Somebody definitely creates these things. It's clear nobody is fixing it neither.

My own religion
You obviously can't and I don't have the power.

If I did, I'd create a simple voucher program for qualifying individuals for the lunches. It's less expensive than blanket remedies. School lunch solved.

As long as you don't use taxes, remember that. Then you have the problem of figuring out who qualifies and are not cheating. For that we need to check the income of the parents and those who check the parents. And I bet you that is not good enough, becasue there are always cheaters.
