Try - ego death frightening -

The death of the ego isn’t truly a death, as the ego will always be a part of us.

Instead, it’s more like a transcendence; we evolve beyond the shackles of our ego and leave it behind, learning to control our lives without its influence.

When we leave behind the ego in ego death, we return to our True Nature and learn to live beyond the confines of the ego’s dualistic reality.

But this experience can be both beautiful and terrifying, depending on how ready the individual is to let go of their ego.

Is It Psychosis or a Spiritual Emergency?

The term spiritual emergency (sometimes called a psychospiritual crisis), was coined by psychotherapist Christina Grov and her husband, psychiatrist Stanilov Grov. It typically occurs after, or is triggered by, a physical or emotional life-enhancing or awe-inspiring experience. It may also be triggered by a lack of sleep or matters related to childbirth, miscarriage, or abortion. Extreme sexual experiences can also result in a spiritual emergency. Sometimes the trigger may be connected to a deep spiritual practice or meditation. Another interesting fact is that often those experiencing spiritual emergencies seem to seek self-expression in the arts through painting, music, or writing—all languages of the soul.

Okay, my post is not poetry but many of the recent posts are not poetry either so I think it's okay.

The voices in your head are real they are just on a different level. If you see things that other people don't see, those things are real too they are just on another level.

You are accessing things that you should not be able to access. You are seeing higher levels and seeing and hearing beings in those higher levels. For some it's almost impossible to distinguish between this level "reality" and the higher level.

Sometimes schizophrenics can see past or future occurences. It's all very confusing. I can only imagine how difficult it is to deal with.

Also, sometimes schizophrenics see or associatte numbers to certain things they see. I think they are seeing the universal coding value for that thing, just like Neo in the movie "The Matrix" when he sees the coding at the end of the movie.

Always know that you make the decision on what you do. No being can tell you what to do. Some of the beings who may communicate with you will have bad intentions because you are a child of God and they "get off" in manipulating you. They are not angels nor are they God, they are just selfish beings on a higher level.

Medication can sometimes help but, of course, it has side effects that I'm sure you are aware of.

I have found few, certainly mainstream teachers, who speak of this and do so without sugar coating. Many shamans point the way, as do certain spiritual teachers who have lived through the muck of human existence. But it seems a great deal of teachers give the impression that you can reach the light without going down into your anger, shame, the ugly, painful parts you have long run from and denied. To feel them in full, to scream, purge and shake them from your nervous system. So many teachers speak in such a glossy, new age, live-your-dreams sort of way as to infer that the dark underbelly of consciousness can be bypassed quickly and easily.
