Science standards under threat in Arizona

Well, first of all, disproved theories can reveal scientific avenues of beneficial employment, so, Creationism, as lame as it's current state is, could do that.
Sad thing about creationism is, that despite it's enthusiastic supporters, it has never offered up anything to a scientific standard whether criticism or new findings.

Once people have education, the membership numbers in creationist groups drop significantly. I see creationists as doing long term damage to religion and theism. It's like a sugary drink, might taste nice but bad for you in long run and large doses.

Teaching religious mythos as science, stripping minorities and women of rights, and now they are assaulting the Earth with their denial of climate change.

Shadow! Where in the HELL have you been?! Anyway, I think you may overestimate the significance of today's Christian muckraker. Nothing wrong with a little competition.

Where the **** was you when Pence tried to throw my rights out the window? And, yes, it is VERY wrong when these Christians go out of their way to expect special privileges so they can cause harm to others.

What, your right to force children to learn about their monkey ancestors?!

Ahhh, you all sound like a bunch of religious nutters to me. Whining about stupid stuff no one in their right mind would care about, don't you think? It reminds me of some idiot Christian *****ing and moaning about a nativity scene being removed at the courthouse.

Monkey ancestors? Gods no I'd never teach children we have monkey ancestors (*hint* evolution doesn't even say we have monkey ancestors).
What I was getting at though is how Christians are wanting, and passing, laws that allow themselves a special privilege to discriminate.

I'm not "whining about stupid ****." I'm raging ****ing pissed that Christians do not want me to have my full basic rights and liberties that I am entitled to as a United States citizen. I give a very big **** about it because in so many places in America my brothers and sisters are relegated to second-class citizenship, are crapped on at the legislative level, and can face consequences just for being who they are. It isn't atheists or Wiccans or Buddhists who want it this way, but Christians, Christians who feel it is their special privilege, place, and right to dictate what the world does, including those of us who would wish the entire Abrahamic god and his religions away if we could get just one wish from a magic genie.

Does reality scare you so much that you cannot properly discuss it?

No, I just don't give a ****, I really don't. I'm not being mean or unsympathetic there, I just don't see the significance of it. Prayers out of school? That made me very happy. 10 commandments out of the courtroom? They shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Perhaps that's the significance, the difference is that you think this little bit of evolution belongs there.

The way I see it, every little bit of ground you loose in "the battle" represents some bigger thing, like, to you, religion is the root of all of your problems and if you could just brainwash those kids the future would be free from all of your problems.

It just seems really lame and pathetic to me.

No one is trying to eliminate religion. Just because your beliefs have been refuted that does not mean that Christianity or any other religion has been refuted. Countless creationists make that error. They think that if their beliefs are wrong that Christianity is wrong. That is not the case.

I thought all of that nonsense was ended by the unfortunate nature of the George W. Bush administration.

Oh, well, the notion of the U.S. Citizenry having anything resembling "rights" is an illusion I no longer entertain. Maybe that's why I couldn't possibly care any less about the situation in Arizona.

That's funny. You think you can water down any real Bible based beliefs, thereby replacing it and pretend to be all innocent and ****. That is most certainly funny.

Geologist by day, great antitheologist by night!

So ridiculous and pathetic.

That does not say anything good about you.

Seriously, why does reality scare you? You ran away from a discussion on the Noah's Ark myth. That is a fairy tale for children and you yet you hold fast to it, by doing so you call your God a liar. Why on Earth would you do that?

Boredom? Amusement? Your imagination.
