I have found in some books of Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris some insight on this anomaly of the present human condition. It may be just the natural progression of our evolution to institute "faith" in our mindset to explain what we can't yet understand.

I was replying to a post where someone else said evolution was "a proven, uncontroversial reality." If it's proven- when did that happen?
When was biological evolution proven? Or When did biological evolution occur?

It has been consistently backed by objective empirical evidence for the last 150 years.
It has been occurring for at least the last 3.8 billion years, and continues.

Do you?

You are the one claiming spirit without evidence.
How do you define spirit without evidence?
What perspective do you use to experience spirit?

The same as I have as you read this post.
Or perhaps you would say you have no spirit?

Dead already?

Can you show that "spirit" is a necessity of life?
Can you point out "spirit" to anyone?

Or can you admit it is only a belief without empirical evidence?

There is no evidence even of the existence of such a thing as a spirit, so it makes no sense for you to imply that we need one to be alive.

Someone once said....'Let the dead bury the dead.'

This quote indicates, Someone was able to tell the difference.

Didn't really consider my last post...did you?
There are lots of people who will not buy what your selling merely because you say they should.

Faith is a hard sell outside your particular choir.
Especially considering the great lengths you go to in order to avoid actually answering questions posed to you.

Questions are typically rhetorical...and empty...especially yours.

I have no choir...apparently you don't either.

You were going to make a profound statement?
I think not.

Science displays how things work.
God did it.
