I think regardless of how many options there were up to the limit, there would have been objections.

This poll apparently does not serve the purpose of precisely identifying each forum member's sexuality. Rather, it determines the percentage of the forum population (or those so inclined to participate in the poll) that identify as the majority heterosexual situation or not. And it differentiates between male and female which adds another dimension to it for comparison.

For example, curiously, there are approximately 3.5 heterosexual males for every non-heterosexual male in the poll, but only 2 heterosexual females for every 1 non-heterosexual female in the poll.
