Should atheists offer something more than disbelief?

outhouse

Atheistically
I wish people would hear me out before they draw their conclusions. You're doing the exact same thing as fundamentalists who already make up there minds before looking at the science.

no we heard you out.

you stepped in it, deep.

and yet you still cannot grasp the reality of freedom of religion

this went unanswered

can we assume its yes??

You already made up your mind before you heard what I had to say. I'm sorry that you only value your own opinion and don't value the opinions of actual experts in psychology. You're coming across as very condescending and arrogant. I'm trying to discuss whether hardcore atheists should use their critical thinking skills in other ways to benefit society and you only care about bashing every little thing I say.

your missing the point ,,,, show me the connection, links please

you show up here and start proselytizing pantheism, no thanks. I dont buy your belief and I surely dont like the way you talk down to atheist.

Now do you have some sort of proof to back up your erroneous claims or not

Atheism is just the lack of belief in deities, how can I talk down to atheists? Besides, there's no definitive proof that physicalism is true, there's just sufficient reason to believe that it is. We have sufficient reason to expand ecological consciousness.

Here's another link about the evolutionary benefits of ecological consciousness, but it is just the opinion of experts and I guess your an expert on everything.

I didn't say it had to be scientific pantheism. You're putting words in my mouth. When did I say we should force people to be pantheists, or even embrace naturalistic spirituality? I'm just promoting a beneficial approach to society and have provided links expanding on why it would be beneficial if cycled into culture. You don't listen to the opinions of experts on anything apparently so it just went over your head. The thing with naturalistic spiritual philosophies is that they're all based on scientific facts. The only thing not proven is the human tendency to have profound experiences of nature. Do profound experiences of nature not exist? Religious people also claim to have deep spiritual experiences, how do you explain those since you're an expert on everything. Probably "Oh, they're just a bunch of nut jobs!"

What the hell is an atheist lifestyle? How can you have an entire lifestyle based on an absence of belief in deities? Does it involve just debating outdated religious claims all day?

How is promoting a spiritual lifestyle against the freedom of religion? Do you even understand the freedom of religion? I'm not forcing anything. It's time for you to defend your own claims.
