Now it seems clear that this administration is unable to stop creating controversies. First it was tweets, then firings, then abuses of power, then stupid mistakes that offend israel, releasing highly classified information directly to our adversaries (and blowing the cover of a spy in ISIS), and now it is asking the FBI to "drop" the Flynn investigation.

Will republicans finally realize that Trump will not be able to stop himself from causing these endless problems and actually get their agenda going?

I voted <no> cuz of Pence.
If Gary Johnson were VP, it would'a been a hearty <yes indeedie!>
I actually just finished talking to my husband about this.
Game of Thrones spoilers ahead:
Very reminiscent of Joffery choking to death on poison only for a fake pious man to take over and start deadly religious conflict.
Still, we've fought oppressive religious figures before. At least that looks to be more domestic, rather than the international crises Trump could do out of sheer ineptitude.

I heartily agree, just not in GRRM land. As much as characters talked about Tyrion being a wiz at politics, the same thing befell him as Ned Stark, minus the
beheading
. Someone less honest and more willing to play dirty
beat him and cast him down from on high.
. Westeros is NOT a land for optimistic politics. Everyone suffers, but the good guys suffer the most.

Nah I doubt she'll run again. The DNC realized that was a colossal mistake. Michelle Obama would have probably done better.
I was being more than a little facetious.
But I honestly think it will take more than a different face doing the same stuff.
Which is what I see happening.
Maybe somebody as "out there" as Trump, but more like Sanders could pull it off. Major election reform would also help a lot. Get rid of the rigged stuff, like gerrymandered districts and the EC.

Anyone who followed the election was aware that the establishment, Republican or otherwise, did not want Trump, that's hardly controversial.

But he did represent the people as it turned out... and they usually know better than politicians

Represent the people how? He lost the popular vote. He has divided this country way more than even Obama. And, pretty much everyone except staunch republicans are turning on him.

Just like before the election then?

I don't really like or dislike Trump either way, I like a record rising stock market, the busiest year I've had in business in 8 years, some real hope and change, hiring, spending, investing- the polar opposite of what we saw 8 years ago.

Like most, I'm not too bothered about how he styles his hair or how popular he is in Hollywood or snl if anyone still watches that... It's easy to forget how unfashionable Reagan was in pop culture not so long ago, before he reinvigorated the country and re-defined conservatism.

What does this mean?
Trump lost by millions. He lost by more than the total number of votes cast in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming all put together.

Oh, I don't care about Hollywood or snl either. Not sure why you even brought that up. It's the fact that Trump is a bully, he is terrible with words and says stupid things all the time, can't keep his mouth shut, leaked highly classified information to our adversary that could put our spy in ISIS in serious danger, insulted the Israelis by accident, and not to mention all the stuff that's happened in the past few days.

You have to admit he has done a horrible job the past month. That is undeniable.

And, with the media. He was brutally mean and bullying with everyone during the election. Now that people are ganging up on him, he's having a mental breakdown. He's a narcissist that can't understand why everyone hates him now.

I bet in less than a year he will resign. One can only hope. He certainly is the most embarrassing president we've had in my generation. Again, that is undeniable. And, it can't be blamed on the media, as he is doing everything on his own to his own detriment.

Well all that applies to the last president, except this one never ate a dog. So don't you think we are at least moving in the right direction?

No, you are dead wrong. Obama was not a bully, he was an excellent speaker, and he was a professional. He also didn't say stupid things all the time getting himself into trouble.
