You have to admit he has done a horrible job the past month. That is undeniable.

And, with the media. He was brutally mean and bullying with everyone during the election. Now that people are ganging up on him, he's having a mental breakdown. He's a narcissist that can't understand why everyone hates him now.

I bet in less than a year he will resign. One can only hope. He certainly is the most embarrassing president we've had in my generation. Again, that is undeniable. And, it can't be blamed on the media, as he is doing everything on his own to his own detriment.

Different perspective I guess, but I honestly don't watch a lot of pop culture media these days, I'm too busy with a huge increase in workload in the construction industry that exploded at the same time as Trump was elected, before inauguration.

But I did follow a lot of the election where despite the unprecedented bullying by the press, he still connected with voters, if he's a narcissist, he did a lot more to earn that than any 'community organizer'

No, you are dead wrong. Obama was not a bully, he was an excellent speaker, and he was a professional. He also didn't say stupid things all the time getting himself into trouble.

Well okay I have to concede here, he was the only president to have visited all 57 states, what an incredible genius, most of us can't even find that many. He is obviously an intellectual giant.

. Westeros is NOT a land for optimistic politics. Everyone suffers, but the good guys suffer the most.
Reminds me of a place called Earth. Minus the dragons and god that seems to apparently actually do things.
Still, we've fought oppressive religious figures before. At least that looks to be more domestic, rather than the international crises Trump could do out of sheer ineptitude.
What worries me is Pence gets things done, he's a champion of the Religious Right, and Republicans will fall in line. Right now the Republicans are divided, and that division is saving the health care of millions.

Yeah, those Republicans are so divided, they control both houses of Congress and the White House. And one retiree replacement away from getting a conservative majority on the SCOTUS.

Meanwhile, the Democrats are still throwing a temper tantrum 6 months after the election and rallying behind a 2-time loser like Hillary... again.

Will republicans finally realize that Trump will not be able to stop himself from causing these endless problems and actually get their agenda going?

I keep wondering when the people on this forum will realize there are really only two parties -- THEM and US, and Trump was on team "US" and still is. He ran Republican because he knows the third party can't win, so does that make him the enemy or just smart? No, actually he dabbled in politics before with the Reform party and knew from experience that the third party candidate would at best assure that the Democrats would win. The only way to prevent this was to run in direct opposition, and keep third parties out of the conversation. Did he do that? Yes, he did.

Ultimately, the right man won it because winning is the only metric that matters no one cares what the losers think.

What should he resign for?

Comey? The Dems think he's an untrustworthy turd as well. They'd have kicked him out even if Hillary won.

Russia? What you mean Seth Rich? The guy that, in all likelihood, leaked DNC info to Wikileaks and was murdered in some weird deep state hit job.

Flynn? What relevance would further efforts in this direction have? Nearly everything that needs to be known... is...

At the end of the day, if you don't like him it's fine with me. I'm really indifferent, but that's because I only care what the numbers are.

Yes, run Hillary again in 2020 please!

I actually just finished talking to my husband about this.
Game of Thrones spoilers ahead:
Very reminiscent of Joffery choking to death on poison only for a fake pious man to take over and start deadly religious conflict.
Still, we've fought oppressive religious figures before. At least that looks to be more domestic, rather than the international crises Trump could do out of sheer ineptitude.

Shame, shame, shame, shame.

Like how you can keep your doctor, ACA needs to pass before you can know what is in it or the Iranian deal. Trump's twitter is far worse than those right...

Anyone who followed the election was aware that the establishment, Republican or otherwise, did not want Trump, that's hardly controversial.

But he did represent the people as it turned out... and they usually know better than politicians

I think Pence in a lot of ways would make a worse president than Trump.
Where do the Republican POTUSes recruit their veeps? I remember forgetting Dick Cheney's existence in order to protect my peace of mind back in the day.

That is the true probiem far as I can tell. Not inadequate candidates - there are always a fair variety of candidates available - but, sad as it is to admit, voter immaturity.

At this point the problem is not that the GOP candidates are bad, but rather that there are people who still vote for them.

This is true, although I think both the Republicans and Democrats at the establishment level may have misread the voters and seemed out of touch with the voters' needs and concerns.

Thing is, no one seemed to mind how easily manipulated the voters were when it worked to the establishment's advantage.

What would resigning change?

It doesn't change what people are feeling. For my part, I am tired of the self serving politics on both sides.

I think Trump was a good earthquake to wake up some of these establishment politicians.

I believe he should resign because he simply has no respect for the rule of law, lied through his teeth on almost a daily basis, and has continued to threaten people.

LOL -- with that position, there should have been many other people who should have resigned in years past.

But I think there are enough lawyers, judges and lying politicians to keep it balanced.

:D Maybe you should resign from the forum.. *joke*

Some of us noticed.
But when pointing it out, the left responds with the cry of "False equivalency!".
Apparently it's wrong to recognize that both sides use the same tools.
Why? Because they believe their side too virtuous for comparison.
