Have people been arrested for Hillary jokes, or is this just a strawman?
And this liberal doesn't think Obama or Hillary are progressive enough. LOLNo, no. It's neither. It's aimed at taking the mick out of how seemingly monolithic and unstoppable a figure she is in Democratic politics coupled with the idea that Democrats seemingly love their 'Dear Leaders' like Obama. Hillary will probably start getting the same treatment too eventually.
So, you think that Democrats love their "Dear Leaders" more than Republicans? I would have to disagree and point out Ronald Regan, who is still mentioned in conservative media on a daily basis. I think both parties are equally guilty. No, no. It's neither. I think that most of the time someone accuses a political party of doing something untoward, it betrays a person who hasn't viewed their own preferred party as fallible. So, you think that Democrats love their "Dear Leaders" more than Republicans? That was my bad actually. I should've asked for clarification. That's not what I meant. I was actually trying to poke fun of how the Democrats are portrayed by some on the right. I'm sorry; I should have made that clear to begin with. Reagan is definitely a prime example of Republican hypocrisy on the matter.
It would have the advantage of making government more efficient.I support Hillary Clinton's campaign to repeal the US Bill of Rights.
Bring back the slave trade! It would have the advantage of making government more efficient.
Oh, I guess there is a down side to losing the Bill Of Rights.Bring back the slave trade!
Good free market principles in action, you heathen.Oh, I guess there is a down side to losing the Bill Of Rights.
Well, they were eventually let back out.If you want to know what's really thought of the Bill of Rights, find a Japanese American who was alive in 1942 in and ask them what they think of the Bill of Rights.
Well, they were eventually let back out.
Rights only exist if people are willing and able to assert and defend them. While the rhetoric is that we have rights and Constitution defends them, reality is still that those with power can wield it against others, and will. The only way the system works is if we all participate and assert our rights (as well as carry out our responsibilities--something the founders should have emphasized). You cannot stand by and let others look out for your rights, or exercise your responsibilities. That doesn't change the fact that once it became convenient for the Government, the Bill of Rights suddenly no longer applied.
And if someone can take something away like that, it's not a right, it's a privilege.
I prefer to think of what happened as a civil rights violation. That doesn't change the fact that once it became convenient for the Government, the Bill of Rights suddenly no longer applied.

Canada is moving towards it. The U.S. may as well follow suit.Should we repeal the Bill of Rights?
Yes or No?
The 2nd Amendment is a high hurdle for government to overcome though.Canada is moving towards it. The U.S. may as well follow suit.
