So what about hell?

Many Buddhist believe there are levels of Hell.
You go to one of the plains of Hell and can work your way up and out of Hell and into the Heavenly realms.
Even at the highest Heavenly Realms you can fall from Grace and slide back down.
or maybe its just a hole dough in the ground and the dead are put there and then filled in

Are you aware that the Bible speaks of dead souls? When alive, we ARE souls, another word for living person.
Yes. Saul trying to summon Samuel.
Or Jesus going to the Underworld to take all the souls of the Ancient Testament to Paradise.

I was thinking about Saul and the witch of Endor. Saul knew he wasn't supposed to do that but he did it anyway, use a spirit medium or witch to get an answer. No matter the spirit was designated as Samuel, it was a name used by a demon to fool Saul. And the witch.

By the way, hell in the Bible is not torture. It is equated with death, or the grave.
Even better. I was thinking that even in the case of eternal torture, I would rather go to hell than to heaven. On account of boredom being worse than physical pain, especially if they are eternal. And the fact that I could not possibly sustain an eternal Club Med, when I know the people I like most are downstairs gnashing their teeth.

So, if that is termination, I am happy. That is exactly what I want. What can I do to secure that? I heard that blaspheming the Holy Spirit sort of guarantee that, on account of being an unpardonable sin. How do I do that?

Hmm I doubt that, but it's possible -- that these vicious people thought it might give their victims a taste of what they erroneously believed their god had in store for these poor creatures. So you could be right.
If they really believed that flames cleanse your soul, and allow to live in bliss for all eternity, then, the inquisitors who burned people alive were decent moral men.

The problem is not them, it is the belief. Only religious belief can, in principle, turn totally decent people into monsters.

I would not be so sure about that. The depictions of hell that I have read about are not pleasant at all.
It is enough to make one a believer even if they don't like God.

I don't know why you think that heaven would be more boring than hell. I believe it is quite the opposite.
Hell will be really boring since it consists of souls who are attached to the physical pleasures that they can no longer engage in since there is nothing physical in the afterlife. So there is nothing to do in hell except think about what you used to do on earth.
And the fact that I could not possibly sustain an eternal Club Med, when I know the people I like most are downstairs gnashing their teeth.
Like attracts like, but I'm not so sure you would like the souls in hell since you seem to be a nice person and there are no nice souls in hell.

Sorry, there is no way to secure termination. Blaspheming against the Holy Spirirt will get you to hell, but you will still exist, and it will be a hellish existence.

Recent discussions make me wonder what various persons believe about hell (or hellfire). Do you think a loving person would literally torture anyone forever as some would believe about hell (or hellfire)? (also for @Trailblazer )
I don't believe in hell ... period. The idea makes no sense to me personally, but for folks living in the fear chakra, it probably has a place.

I am so glad to learn that there is no life after death except in a resurrection. Based on what I know and see now, I can say with surety there is no place called hell where anyone is subject to eternal or maybe not eternal pain.

So then you do believe in a torture chamber while one is dead-alive.

For Hindus the life after death is temporal, and then there is a new life. Eventually that ends.

It was an illustration about those who taught Jesus was NOT the son of God who came from heaven. Yes, well have a nice evening.
I think Jesus was giving more than an abstract illustration. He was providing a clear glimpse into either of two destinations which await every person after physical death.

So, in your beliefs, where do the people who are not resurrected go?

its really very simple ,they stay dead
So you believe that dead bodies rise from their graves and somehow come back to life?
I hope you know that there is nothing in the Bible that says that, yet millions of Christians believe that since that is what they have been taught. There is also nothing in the Bible that says that anyone is going to live forever on this earth.

Our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God which is in Heaven. Dead bodies cannot inherit what will last forever, Heaven. Our physical bodies will die and we will be raised (resurrected) as spiritual bodies that will be suited to go to Heaven and live forever. That is what the following verses say.

1 Corinthians 15:40-54 New Living Translation

40 There are also bodies in the heavens and bodies on the earth. The glory of the heavenly bodies is different from the glory of the earthly bodies.

44 They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be raised as spiritual bodies. For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies.

50 What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever.

51 But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed!

54 Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die,[c] this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory.[d]
