Software Feedback Thread

anna.

colors your eyes with what's not there
Hi, all!

As we have all noticed, the forum software has been updated. This update is still ongoing, and new features may still be added. The tech people are not done yet with the work.

Please list any and all issues, feedback, and bug reports you may have. Everything you say here may help with the update and improve forum functionality.

Thank you!

I picked a good time to drop by here again! I like the change. :)

Last time I changed name was in Aug 2022. Tried to change yesterday and it said once u change name u won't be able to till April 9 2023. So I was under the impression the rules changed from 1 yr to 1 month for name changes. But nothing has happened. Prolly just a kink they'll iron out

Like, love, cry, wow, sad and mad. These are my choices. Are these the same as you have? I preferred interesting, useful, creative and winner. I wouldn't really use the choices I now have except like or maybe wow.
Mine are the same. I understand that getting the old frubals back is on the cards when the new software is satisfactory

How does the username of the quoted person appear on your end now? Is it still hard to read, or has that gotten better?

There are a couple of style upgrades on which we're giving feedback, so let us know whether you have noticed any changes on that front.

It's still light grey on white background and difficult to see. But my green shades are being repaired so I'm using sun glasses. Maybe a worse case.

I knew you were a nice guy underneath it all.

;)

BTW I've followed your idea of putting a religious description under my name while we wait for the "religion" to return.
From your profile pic, I figured you'd be a Kleeborgian.

I have used the HaHa one to suggest that what was said was really silly. Of course that leaves it to the reader to decide if I was genuinely amused.

Another tiny detail, often a whole line will have the red underline (error) thingy, rather than the word/s in error. Maybe something for the bottom of the list of things to be looked at.

And to balance that complaint, I use LastPass to store and enter passwords. Previously, I had to pull up the site manually, then click "sign on" where LastPass would enter the user name and password, then click "sign on". This was because the "stay logged on" box would always be set to "off" and I didn't get a chance to change it. Now it is set to "on", either as a default or because it's storing what I did last time, and I can have LastPass do the whole thing. A minor improvement, but nice.
