Solution to homosexuals is by government executions according to Pastor.

For anyone who is interested GAY is a backronym standing for Good As You.

Its meant to transform the historic slur of of gay into an expression of gay pride.
This website has quite a background on the usage of the word gay. Gay | Psychology Wiki | Fandom

Folk etymologies
It has been claimed that "gay" was derived as an acronym for "Good As You", but this is a backronym (based on a false etymology).

Another folk etymology accrues to Gay Street, a small street in the West Village of New York City — a nexus of homosexual culture. The term also seems, from documentary evidence, to have existed in New York as a code word in the 1940s, where the question, "Are you gay?" would denote more than it might have seemed to outsiders.

The screwy Bible is taken to be perfect and this is why we have so many ways to be "Christian."
Actually that perfect word of god thing and especially literalism aren't old or traditional interpretations, with it often being regarded as a foolish way to read the Bible. Christians have mostly not been that superstitious about it. Rather it seems to be an occasional embarrassing flair up of blind and equally eager enthusiasm about such a doomed to fail task.

Hate the sin, not the person. Jesus told us to love one another including your enemy. Love can conquer all. If you don't like their lifestyle, stay away from them. If you don't like their agenda, fight it. Don't go calling yourself a Christian and wanting to murder people at the same time. It's Pastors like you who have no business preaching the word of God.

What I loathe, as a Christian, is the abysmal irrationality inherent in the preaching by many American pastors ('pastor'? How about that for irony!)

They sling verses around and their preaching style amounts to little more than literal wooden principles. The concept of different types of genre is a mystery to these guys.

Where I live I don't come across this nonsense very often, but USA seems to have
more than its fair share.

It's a gift to atheists of course! They can pretend that this is Christianity.
It is irrational to pretend that is not Christianity. Christianity is not just what your particular faction agrees with. Christianity is a whole heap of conflict, with all of you shouting about how the Bible proves that whatever hot take your faction adopts is the real, true Christianity.

Pfui.

You are no more or less Christian than any of the others.

From perspective on how Christians twisted and reinvented it is fine.
Then you need to be more specific. Is it dying and awaiting resurrection, dying and going immediately to judgement, is a sort of eternal damnation involved.
Ya know? It would probably be easier to state the denomination you are looking for because Christians and Christianity are very highly inconsistent on this. They can't even decide if god is just god or if his son and the holy ghost are also god.

Why not? Aren't Christians sinners? Are their sins only the tiny innocuous sins that don't really count? The little white sins, so to speak.
Yes, Christians are sinners. That's why they shouldn't label themselves as "Christians". A Christian is someone who is Christ like. Paul said, "It is better to be called a Christian then to call yourself one".

If you "humanists" are so good with the bible as you say and know it way better than Christians, then explain OT eschatology to me in no more than 3 sentences. Go ahead, take your time and show me your skills which you claim.

Eschatology is an area that believers can't agree about among themselves, and Christians will disagree with Jews on this matter. Christians will interpret the OT to support their NT beliefs, such as about what the end of days is and will look like, the nature and fate of the soul after death, what Sheol is, and the role and nature of the messiah. Like much scripture and poetry, which also uses ambiguous language and vague imagery, it means whatever one wants it to mean, hence over 40,000 different denominations of Christianity based in the same scripture.

How about you take my Bible quiz (answers to follow)? It's an open book test, so feel free to use your Bible as a reference. The answers will contain only Bible verses:

[1] Is mankind saved by works or faith?
[2] What were Jesus' very last words on the cross?
[3] Is it possible for men to be righteous?
[4] Has man seen God?
[5] Are all words from God true?
[6] Does God grow weary or tired?
[7] How did Jesus answer the Sanhedrin when it asked if he was messiah?
[8] What was the precise wording on the cross (English translation acceptable)?
[9] Was Jesus taken by Satan to the temple or mountain first?
[10] What number of blind men received their sight on the road from Jericho?
[11] Is God content with his works?
[12] Is God perfect, or does he make mistakes that he regrets?

By God's law it is. It's called fornication. God didn't create man to lay with man or a woman to lay with a woman, it's not natural. God also doesn't recognize the marriage between a man and a man or a woman to a woman.

I'm not a Christian, so why would I care what your god recognizes? It's not wrong.

Seems reasonable that belief in god is on the decline.

All you need is love.
There's a huge elephant in the room that evangelical Christians typically ignore when they're griping about same-sex marriage and preserving the sanctity of marriage, and that's the fact that there are EIGHT marriages that their God sanctioned during biblical times.

True. The modern view sure complicates things though.
