Something We All Can Agree On

I think it's one of those cool things to do like everyone saying they can't stand Nickelback and Creed but they all secretly sing along to them when they're alone in the car. And it's good for @Revoltingest ego.
That's an excellent analogy. I secretly sing the Revoltistani national anthem in my car.

Well at least you call them baked potatoes.
When I hear "jacket potato" I think that it must be some fancy dinner since even a potato must wear a suit.

Jacket potatoes are young potatoes boiled in their skin. A but of butter or olive oil and some salt, a delicacy.

The stOOpid olympics
I have encountered some of those games out and about. I remember canoeing down the Current River once and finding a swamped canoe with on of the middle-aged, drunken occupants standing calf-deep near the gravel bar crying for someone to help him while his buddy was quietly clinging to a root up to his neck in a bout 10 feet of rushing water. So I helped the guy trapped up to his knees and went on about my business since the other guy hadn't asked for help.

No. We helped the guy clinging to the root get out of the current and on the gravel bar. I don't remember what his idiotic friend ended up doing.

I don't care if anyone agrees or not, I'm going to bed. You all have a good night (or morning or mid day or afternoon as the case may be).

We would call those "new potatoes". Though very few people have had them. To be new the skins need to be delicate enough that a fingernail can scrape them off, but don't do it! And boiled until the are almost done and then replacing the water with milk and just a little butter, salt and pepper too, can be extremely addictive. To get these potatoes one needs direct access to the growers.
